I find it hard to believe that with today's technology, people find it difficult to watch a DVD in Zone 4. Refer to your DVD player's user manual to select the Zone or go online and see what information you can use.
Being married to a Colombian woman and to be from North America, Andres comedy transcends generations and cultures. His comedy covers all aspects of life, love, and family and it doesn't matter where you are from, what your nationality may be or which generation you are, Andres captures not only the Colombian people but the global population with perfection!
Colombians...you should be very proud of Andres, your country, and your people!!!

Glenn Beck Unelectable (2008) Review

(More customer reviews)I saw this show live. It was so much fun and so funny that I also wanted to see it in the movie theater but couldn't. I'll be purchasing this DVD so I can watch and laugh over and over again. This election season never seems to end and a little humor certainly can't hurt. Glenn is a true patriot, is hilarious and someone every American should listen to or watch - regardless of political party affiliation. To quote Glenn, "it's not about right and left but right and wrong." Unfortunately the politicians and party leaders have forgotten that fact, which is why most people are sick of them all. Glenn's speech in the second half of the show leaves you yearning for an honest politician that just wants to do what's right for America. Glenn bashes both political parties so don't let his conservative leanings stop you from watching this DVD or his television show.

Lots of work went into the filming of this and I do hope you like it! We filmed this over the summer of 07 in one evening. Most shows you see filmed are done twice. We didn't have that kind of budget, so I had one shot to get this right. The audience ensured that a good time was going to be the case. The live crowd we had for the show was unreal!!! What you see is a warts and all kind of performance and I love it. Its got loads of new jokes and some oldies but goodies. I put the oldies on there, so that everyone can get all of my best jokes to date on my first real DVD! There are on this DVD, loads of jokes that didn't make it to the edited and final cut of the Comedy Central special, so there is a lot of incentive to get the DVD. The uncut and uncensored version is what the DVD is. The dirty jokes that didn't make it to air are on here! I hope you dig it!!! Well, thats it for now, til next time...

(More customer reviews)Let's review disc one first. This a familiar theme in the style of Candid Camera, except with naked girls in the set up. For those of you who are fans of Janelle from Sunset Tan, you'll see a lot more of her here. Good for a few laughs and the girls are all pretty hot.
And now for disc two. Well someone's nanna censored this one. I am not sure why you would pixelate every shot below the waist when the whole premise is naked girls in humerous situations - the only one who gets to see anything is the mark. No fun at all but OK if you want to watch with the whole family, including nanna. Ask for a 50% discount.

I bought this DVD for my girl for Christmas and she could not have been any happier, she is absolutely in love with Bam. So it was a big hit with her which made me a big hit with her, nice. Any way I watched this with her that night which was ok because I am a fan of Bam and all them so it was cool. It has been a while since anything new has come out from these guys so I was excited to watch it, I knew it would good.
The movie is all about Bam and company taking a trip to the Arctic Circle some where in Finland trying to find the real Santa Claus. Apparently the only thing left for Bam to get his wife Missy since she has everything she could possibly want he decides that the real Santa is the only logical gift. Accompanying him on this trip is his brother Jess and Chad I. Ginsburg from CKY, Mark Hanna, Joe Frantz, and a personal favorite of mine Brandon Novak. Back at home Missy and Bam's parents have to put up with not only two members of The Bloodhound Gang [including the ever funny Jimmy Pop] but also S***Goose, and Mark the Bagger. One of the main driving points behind this film is the two bets that are going down with the Bagger, one with Novak and one with Bam. With Novak is a bet to see who can get the most girls, and with Bam it is whether or not the real Santa is in Finland. The prize for the Bagger against Novak is a sexy robot and with Bam it is none other then Bam's wife Missy, yes he bets her.
In Finland the boys harass each other and by that I mean mostly Bam messing with Novak pretty hard, I feel so bad for this guy all through the entire film. Also along the way they decide that they need a map so Hanna is volunteered to get a horrible map tattooed on his stomach. Of course it would not be a Bam related film if HIM is not involved some how, so while in Finland they stop of at HIM's rehearsal studio to get directions and advice and also film a performance. Also the 69 Eyes and a few other bands pop up every now and then, but it is the appearance of the Dudesons that excites me. These guys are crazy beyond words and I love that they do not just cameo they are threw out the entire film. These guys just add a whole new dimension to the movie and even are involved in one of the grossest parts of the movie. All I am going to say is it involves eye balls, Novak and a male's part [if you know what I mean] from a dead animal.
Back in the states Missy and Bam's parents are hard at work at working on a huge surprise party for Bam, while the B.H. Gang and the Bagger are out looking for girls. The girl hunting parts are hilarious, especially when Jimmy Pop dresses up as Bam and gives the Bagger the worst advice on getting girls ever. Of course when they finally get some girls to come back to castle Bam with them two very funny players from Bam's new movie "MINGHAGS" show up, classic moment. Mean while back in Finland all the guys have to hike, travel by dog sled, reindeer, and snow mobile to reach Santa's house only to find Santa is on vacation. Do they ever find him before they head home, you will have to watch and see but there is a nice party waiting for them when they return home and all ends well {sort of} for Novak eventually. He even gets one over on Bam; excellent moment indeed [well played sir, well played].
Bam as always is his usual jerk yet funny self all through out this entire movie, as is Jimmy Pop and the Bagger [the funny part not jerk]. Chad and Jess are great as well, great to see those guys in this [OVER HERE], you will get that once you watch it. Hanna and Frantz as expected are just as funny as the rest; still Hanna's best thing was his over the top laugh on "Haggard". Everyone else in the movie is great but the show stealer is definitely Novak {who is the star, and rightfully so} with out a doubt, he is this movie's Dico I guess you could say. And of course you know the Dudesons are hilarious only adding nothing but laughs, poor Novak he hates these guys. And yes people this is a movie, a thought out written down in screenplay format movie based in reality. Bam, Frantz, and Joe De Vito wrote a hilarious film and Bam and De Vito's direction is seamless, Bam also serves not only as a producer but as an Executive producer as well.
This movie is worth every penny in my opinion and is beyond a rental, I suggest you buy this because it truly is a funny movie. If you liked Jackass, Viva La Bam, CKY, and especially Haggard then you will love this. And sure Dico, Dunn, Rake, and Raab are nowhere to be found on this DVD, but those who are make this hilarious. And who knows maybe in the future all of them will eventually work together again, maybe a "Where the #### are those guys" will be in the works. Still you can catch all those guys plus all these guys in "Minghags".

Lewis Black - Unleashed (2003) Review

(More customer reviews)I first became familiar with Lewis Black from his appearances on the "Opie and Anthony" radio show before ever seeing him on "The Daily Show" or his comedy performances. I finally got a chance to see one of his specials on Comedy Central and was laughing hysterically. This guy is extremely full of anger and energy, and knows how to take no prisoners. "Lewis Black Unleashed" is a fine introduction for those who aren't yet familiar with his stand-up.
The DVD contains four half-hour specials that broadcasted on Comedy Central (one of them being called, "Taxed Beyond Belief"). He's a very topical comedian that doesn't do the "usual" stand-up gig. He talks about politics, the state of the country, scandals, idiotic people and much more. Once he gets going on a rant, he never stops. And the great thing about this guy is that he attacks EVERYONE. This isn't a democratic comedian who only attacks the Republicans; nor is he a Republican who attacks only Democrats. He attacks ALL OF THEM--regardless of who's in which party.
Lewis Black reminds me a lot of the late Bill Hicks (and that's a good thing). He definitely has a "Hicks" influence in him--not saying that his delivery isn't original. On the contrary, he has a certain style that works for him and would not work for anybody else. He's always on target and never misses a beat when it comes to delivering the goods.
Aside from the four half-hour features, the DVD also includes Black's commentary on the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention. While there's not a lot of extras, that's to be expected with a DVD like this. It's a lot more impressive than most. Hopefully he will come out with a full hour special that's uncensored sometime in the near future.
"Lewis Black Unleashed" does a superb job of showcasing this very funny comedian's talents. He's mad, he's bitter--and he's downright hilarious! If you've never seen him perform before, be sure to give this DVD a try. While the specials are only a half-hour long each, it still makes an entertaining viewing. -Michael Crane

Wayside - The Movie (2005) Review

(More customer reviews)My kids and I absolutely love the Wayside School books for their highly entertaining stories and for the joyfully clever ways they play with language and storytelling. Unfortunately, very little of that comes through to the movie. Sure, the movie fits in LOTS of elements from the books, but many of them are introduced inexplicably and have little role in the story. What's missing is the zany logic that makes the books so charming. If you know the books, you may enjoy the references, but the movie itself ends up being pretty standard cartoon slapstick. My five-year-old still enjoys watching it, but I was disappointed that the special intelligence and heart of Wayside School has mostly been lost.

The Diary of a Nobody (2007) Review

(More customer reviews)Mr. Charles Pooter, the diary author in "THE DIARY OF A NOBODY", is a nobody, but he simply fails to notice. He is content with life, almost. He presents his diary in a verbal (in this DVD)format, speaking directly to the camera. He most enthusiastically orates about his common middle-class social and family events (the very ones he's written in the diary.) He feels assured the world will eventually enjoy his written diary--when published. Is he the Suburban Snob of 1892? Certainly it's perfected pompousness.
I can not imagine "THE DIARY OF A NOBODY" being as funny without hearing and seeing Pooter (Hugh Bonneville) presenting the diary in dialogue. It's strictly British humor, but at it's Victorian finest. Bonneville's ability to project emotion and expressions is near perfection. Hugh Bonneville can say as much with a lifted eyebrow, an eye roll, a gesture, or a voice change, as what is provided in the script.
In Pooter's written (spoken in this DVD version) accounts, he makes the occasional joke--usually unappreciated by others. A time or two Pooter laughs so hard at his own merriment that he resembles Red Skelton's famous moments of belly-laughing at his own humor.
Pooter loves his 'Home Sweet Home' which is near the rail tracks. He had just moved into the new rental as the diary began, April of 1891. The diary ends in May of 1892. The home is called The Laurels (even though it has no laurels growing, but Pooter and his wife, Carrie, might plant some). It is London, suburbia, Victorian, and the train traffic makes the house quake frequently. But Pooter adjusts. The many views of the 6 or 7 rooms, as well as Pooter's employment location, provides a complete, delightful look at London Victorian living in a middle-class dwelling. Furnished with period pieces and accents, right down to the tea cups and boot scrapper (which is a constant complaint). And the Christmas holiday tops off the Victorian aesthetics. WOW!
So what does Pooter write about? Lupin, the not-so-perfect son and his engagement with a not-so-perfect, older, fatter, uglier, Miss Daisy Mutlar. Spouse spats. His boss, Mr. Perkupp, and Pooter's downns and upps with Perkupp. Social engagements gone afoul or well. Costs, especially with drinks. Stocks, encouraged by his son. Bad lobsters. Friends, Cummings and Gowing, and their comings and goings. And that darn boot scrapper.
The DVD features explained that the term "Pooterism" (taking oneself too seriously) evolved from this work first published in a magazine (1888), then book in 1882 (still in print today), this film via BBC (2007), and now this DVD. The book was written by brothers, George & Weedon Grossmith, biography also in the bonus stuff.
Plus more, but no subtitles--BOOGER!
4 episodes totaling just shy of two hours. In the end my wife and I had enjoyed actor, Hugh Bonneville, as Charles Pooter so much, we finally ceased smiling and laughing. Why? It was over. Sad to see it end.
If you like the subtlety of British comedy, then you'll LOVE this CLASSIC British humor book brought to film/DVD. An astonishing one man show. Listen to Pooter's words, watch him, "For he's the jolly good fellow."

Brian Regan: Standing Up (2007) Review

(More customer reviews)Brian Regan is a great comedian for the whole family. My wife and kids love walking through the house yelling "What's the score, Brian?" "Snowcone! Whole snowcone for half game!" He's a great guy, and his humor is something you can enjoy with everyone.
If you own his live CD or earlier DVD, you'll find this contains almost all new material. One of the bonus features is his encore in which he does requests from the audience from his material. It's stuff you've heard before, but the funny way he points that out is hilarious ("You're out there going, 'Yep, that's the way I memorized it.'") His first Comedy Central Presents appearance is included and there's no repeats from the "Standing Up" special in it. If this is your first introduction to Brian's comedy, it's a great place to start. Grab his live CD next. The CC Presents half-hour show has some of that material on it, but it's still funny.
I wish there were more comedians out there like Brian. He manages to be funny without ever being vulgar. I don't know why he isn't more popular, but with his CC sponsored national tour maybe he'll finally get the exposure he deserves.

Dirty Tricks (2000) Review

(More customer reviews)A BBC story outrageously funny. Strong casting, plenty of Brit stars, with twists that keep you watching like a Midsomer Murder. But it is a Martin Clunes, before his superlative Doc Martin series, that pulls the dirty tricks. How can this DVD be compared to that super-level of comedy in Doc Martin? Close, but not quite.
Clunes, as Edward, begins the tale explaining to viewers he is avoiding CID Moss (James Bolam-yes, `the' Beiderbecke) and heading out of the country to avoid arrest for a double murder. Moss investigates just like in the Beiderbecke series. Edward didn't do it, he says. It's technically true, and he begins the explanation from 2 years previous.
A crazed adulteress, Karen (Julie Graham-`Bonekickers' see it), tags Edward as her unlikely victim and begins numerous assaults to his person using every room of her home, but only when her hubby, CPA Dennis (Neil Dudgeon), is nearby. Kinky? The tan-less skin, vocabulary, and graphic activity is overdone, but there was a warning on the box. Get by the overexposure and the plot gets comic.
There are some unfortunate accidents, resulting in death, but also financial opportunity for others. Thus, the plot to twist the truth into a profitable outcome turns up the hilarity. Another female, twists the mix, using Lindsay Duncan (Under the Tuscan Sun; Rector's Wife) as Edwards new flame as he tries to put the loss of his first love onto innocent Clive, well not so innocent in all things.
Strangely, found the musical score quite appropriate and nice. Some great visuals of England and Wales. The drama is based on a Michael Dibdin book. Writing caused it to get the Int. Emmy win. Martin Clunes has soared upward in comedy excellence since this 2000 role. Perhaps he's as good playing Edward, as he is playing Dr Martin. He did a very good job as Edward playing a bad actor trying to avoid a murder trial. Perhaps it's just the level he has obtained in current TV episodes that makes this DVD seem less. Bottom line, even with the overworked lust angle, the 2 episode show brings on laughs out loud.
SUBTITLES included. Dibdin bio and 5 filmographies included.
As for the sensual, mystery, relationships, and blame...one must define "DIRTY" and "TRICKS" for each aspect.

(More customer reviews)I gave this movie 5 stars because it deserves it,how did disney do it make an adam sandler movie that is actually understandably funny for both kids and adults alike I am 17 and I saw it I do not usually see PG rated movies but I went with my family on the 26th.
I laughed through most all of it.
you probaly would not want to read the other reviews as they have minor spoilers. Unless you want it to br ruined for you.
Really not crude not bad language but still funny. Anyone taking thier children for a show should check this out.

(More customer reviews)Clone High has a very original concept; back in the 1980s, secret government agents dug up some of the most famous and influential historical figures and cloned them. The clones were put in the care of foster homes, and are being secretly monitered by the government. By now, they are in high school, and are attending Clone High High School, where Principal Cinnamon J. Scudworth (Phil Lord) can keep his eye on them. Scudworth is employed by the Board of Shadowy Figures, the government group responsible for the clones, but he secretly plans to steal the clones away from the government for his own purposes. Scudworth is a stereotypical mad scientist; he is completely insane, speaks in an overly dramatic manner, and even built a robotic butler named Mr. Butlertron (Chris Miller).
The main clones are Abe Lincoln (Will Forte), a nice guy who is very indecisive, Joan of Arc (Nicole Sullivan), a goth girl with a crush on Abe, Ghandi (Michael McDonald), Abe's best friend and party animal (he buckled under the pressure of living up to the original Ghandi), Cleopatra (Christa Miller), a sexy, self-absorbed rich girl, and JFK (Chris Miller), a loud, obnoxious, partier who is Lincoln's rival for Cleopatra's heart. Some other clones include George Washington Carver (Donald Faison), a science nerd obsessed with peanuts, Thomas Edison, an AV nerd, Ponce de Leon (Luke Perry), a Fonzie-esque guy who likes to litter, Vincent van Gogh (Andy Dick), a depressed art student (if you've seen Wedding Crashers, think Todd), and Buddy Holly (Neil Flynn), an aviator with an unsafe plane. In addition to the numerous clones, there are many original characters such as Toots (Donald Faison), Joan of Arc's blind foster parent, Wally and Carl (Faison, Flynn), JFK's gay foster dads, Abe's Foster Dad (Joe Flarhety), who is kind of a knock on Flarhety's character in Freaks and Geeks, Mr. Sheepman (Andy Dick), a history teacher and the first mostly human clone, and Glenn the Janitor (Flynn), who is Ponce's foster dad and a direct parody of Flynn's Janitor character on Scrubs (Glenn is the exact opposite of the Janitor on Scrubs, but Scudworth still hates him).
The episodes wonderfully poke fun of the teenage drama genre. The episodes all deal with bizarre "issues", such as smoking raisins to get high, corporate sponsorship, the ADD epidemic, religious tolerance, incarceration, and the death of a friend. In fact, every episode begins with "Tonight, on a very special Clone High", and every episode has a "Previously" segment and a "On the next..." segment, neither of which are necessary, because the show isn't (for the most part) serialized. Futhermore, the relationship structure is similar to that of most popular teen dramas; the male protagonist (Abe) likes the sexy girl (Cleo) who is dating a jerk (JFK), while his best female friend (Joan) pines for him. Meanwhile, Abe's best male friend (Ghandi), is always trying to score with the girls, though he usually ends in failure. The animation is somewhat crude, though I think that it is (1) part of the show's charm, and (2) another way to poke fun at generic teen shows. I think that the cheap animation is supposed to make us think that this was a kind of quick imitation.
A lot of the humor on the show derives from the fact that so many of the clones are nothing like the originals. Abe is indecisive, JFK is not a good leader, Ghandi is a party animal, Ghengis Khan is mentally challenged, and Nostradamus is a terrible psychic. Of course, there are numerous other kinds of jokes, ranging from current events references (such as the extreme marketing), great guest stars (including Marilyn Manson, Jack Black, John Stamos, and Mandy Moore), and parodies of classic cartoons, such as when Scudworth engaged in a Roadrunner/Wile E. Coyote scenario with a skunk. Also, a lot of the humor is similar to that found on the show Scrubs, which makes sense because Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence is one of the creators of Clone High. And with the exception of Judy Reyes and Ken Jenkins, all of the Scrubs regulars did voices in this show. Also, a lot of guest stars on Scrubs also appeared in this show, sometimes as regulars (Nicole Sullivan, who does the voice of Joan of Arc, had a somewhat recurring role on Scrubs).
Sadly, Clone High was cancelled after only one season. There was so much more they could have done, and so much humor to be had with yet-to-be introduced clones. It's sad that we'll never get to see the exploits of Abe and Ghadi or hear Mr. Butlertron call anyone Wesley again, but oh well. The show ended in a "cliff-hanger" which further parodied the teen drama. It's actually a pretty fitting ending for the type of show that Clone High is. Who knows, maybe someday we'll get a movie, similar to Firefly, but for now, enjoy these 13 episodes.

Everybody Loves Raymond: The Series Finale (2005) Review

(More customer reviews)When I heard that the final episode of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND was being released so soon after it originally aired, I kept my fingers crossed that the Producers and those who are responsible for putting out these DVDs learned a lesson from the release of the FRIENDS finale, and would be sure to include the one-hour retrospect which aired immediately before the final show aired.
Unfortunately, this didn't happen. Once again, viewers are given the pilot episode and final episode together on one disc - no retrospect. Why is this? Most dedicated viewers who collect these DVDs already have the first season, which includes the pilot - why include this with the final episode? It makes no sense. And the special that Raymond produced had everything to do with the production and making of the final episode - wouldn't it have made sense to include this one-hour special, which included behind the scene footage showing how this final show finally got made??
I don't know about anyone else, but when I watch the final episode of one of my favorite shows, I like to go back afterwards and relive some of my favorite moments. These one-hour retrospects allow viewers to do this. You can revisit some of your favorite, classic moments, and recall why it is that this was one of your favorite TV shows.
I'm still hoping that when Season 10 of FRIENDS is released, it's "extras" include the one-hour retrospect which aired immediately before the final show, and now I hope that the same thing happens with the release of Season 9 of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND. After all, these specials sum up why these shows are one of our favorites, and wrap up all of out favorite moments in one neat little package - don't they deserve to be watched over & over again, along with the final episode?
I give the DVD 2 stars for the missing retrospect and inclusion of the pilot epsiode, while the episode itself gets 4 stars - which averages out to a 3.

1.Fat- Parody of ''Bad'' By Michael Jackson, Shot on 3/12/88
This grammy award winning Video was shot on a culver city soundstage on a subway set donated by Michael Jackson himself. For this video Al's make-up nearly took 3 hours to apply.
2.Amish Paradise- Parody of ''Gangstas Paradise'' by Coolio shot in Febuary of 96 with appearances by Florence Henderson who plays the Michelle Pfeiffer role in this tale of life on the mean streets of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. One shot in this required Al to phonetically sing the lyrics backwards while walking in reverse through a busy barnyard.
3.It's All About The Pentiums, Parody of ''It's all about the Benjamins'' By Puffy Daddy Video shot in July of 99, this video features cameos by two of the funniest people in the world-, Emo Phillips and Drew Carey.
4.Smells like Nirvana- 1992- Parody of ''Smells like Teen Spirit'' By Nirava, Rolling Stone put this on their list of the top 100 Videos of All Time & Al was nominated for best male performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. This video also used the same janitor as in the video Smells like Teen spirit. Dick Van Patten also turns in a stellar performance.
5.You Dont Love me Anymore- 1992, This song is an Al Original although the video was closely modeled after ''More than Words'' by Extreme.
6.Bedrock Anthem- Parody of Under the Bridge and Give it Away by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shot in 93- This video was shot on the same exact patch of dessert as the original. The Bee Girl from the Blind Melon video makes an appearance, as does Al's Aunt Dot.
7.Gump- Parody of ''Lump'' by The Presidents Of The United States Of America shot in April Of 1996, Al tells the complete story of Forrest Gump In under 2 minutes. Pat Boone appears in a bench cameo.
8.Jurassic Park, Airing October 93, Parody of ''MacArthur Park'' by Richard Harris-This video went on to be nominated for a Grammy and is still a big favorite in animation festivals around the world.
9.Headline News- parody of ''Mmmm,Mmmm,Mmmm,Mmmm'' by the Crash Test Dummies aired in Oct of 94 and set the legends of John Wayne Bobbitt, Tonya Harding and Singapore Caning victim Michael Fay to the tune of 1994's most hummable hit.
10.Dare To Be Stupid- Although an original composition, 1985's ''Dare to be Stupid'' is a homage to the group Devo, as well as, of course, Al's Motto in Life. I have to say this video is brilliant. This is one of my favorite Weird Al Videos. It incorporates Devo style with Weird Als Genius.
11.Eat It- Febuary of 1984, Parody of '' Beat It'' by Michael Jackson. Al's Grammy Award Winning Parody ''Eat It'' was an immediate international success.
12.Like A Surgeon, Parody of Madonna's '' Like A Virgin'' filmed in March of 85, this video was filmed in an actual hospital that had gone out of business. This, along with the videos ''Dare to be Stupid'' & One More Minute were done as part of a home-video release and television special called '' The Compleat Al''.13.UHF, shot in June 1989- The video shot for the Original Themesong from Al's Movie was perhaps his most ambitious to date. Al and his band parody in order: Guns n Roses, George Michael, Robert Palmer, Prince, Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, ZZ Top, Billy Idol, The Beatles, INXS & Randy Newman. Also features guest appearances like Michael Richards & more.
14.Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies- Parody of Money For Nothin' by Dire Straits shot in January of 1989 and was also the centerpiece of Al's Movie UHF, This video features the computer animation of Rick Morris.
15.One More Minute, 1985- This original sick and twisted Elvis like Doo-Wop love ballad has become a perenial favorite among the relationship impaired. Al's long time band members Jim West, Steve Jay and Jon ''Bermuda'' Schwartz supply the cheesy choreography. Also watch for Al ripping up a picture of the woman who inspired the song.
16.I Lost On Jeopardy, Parody of Jeopardy by Greg Kihn, shot in 1984, is a nostalgic tribute to the old Jeopardy game show. Cameos by original host Art Fleming & original show announcer Don Pardo. Al's mentor Dr. Demento, Al's real parents and Greg Kihn himself.
17.This is the Life- filmed in 84 its a 1930's flavored original and was the theme song for the 1930s gangster spoof ''Johnny Dangerously'' with Micheal Keaton and Danny Devito.
18.Living With A Hernia, Parody of ''Living In America'' by James Brown. Filmd in 86 this parody was shot on the same stage where the Godfather Of Soul shot his scenes for Rocky IV.
19.Spy Hard- Al's third movie theme was the title song from Hollywood Pictures action Spoof Spy Hard starring Leslie Nielson. Shot in 96.
20.Ricky- Parody of ''Mickey'' by Toni Basil, Filmed in April of 83, this one was Al's Music Video Debut. This was arguably the first comedy video ever shown on MTV.
21.Christmas At Ground Zero- This cheery Phil Spector inspired original tune about death, destruction and the end of the world was largely banned by broadcasters, that somehow decided it was a tad morbid to play a song about nuclear annihiliation during the Holidays. A compilation of cold war era scare tactic footage is capped by a live-action shot filmed in the Bronx. Airdate. November 21, 1986.
22.I Love Rocky Road, June of 1983, A Parody of Joan Jett's ''I Love Rock-n-Roll is a tribute to Al's favorite Ice Cream Flavor.
23.Bob- Shot in June of 2003, This is a homage to Bob Dylan's ''Subterranean Homesick Blues'' video Which was part of the Documentary Dont Look Back. Filmed in an alley in downtown L.A. It was shot as part of an ''AL-TV'' special that aired on VH1 10 Days Later.
24.The Saga Begins- Aired June 1999, A Parody of Don Mclean's ''American Pie'' is an MTV Unplugged take-off on Star Wars- Episode 1, The Phantom Menace. Shot in a blistering Hot Mojave Desert & a comfy air conditioned soundstage in North Hollywood California.
Special Features- Extras Include clips from the Weird Al Show, a rare 1981 performance clip from NBC's The Tomorrow Show, a photo gallery and on-screen lyrics option!!!

(More customer reviews)The seventh season of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND will always hold a special place in my heart because it is the first season I started seeing when the new episodes would air every Monday night on CBS. The first six seasons I saw via re-runs and the DVDs because I didn't get into the show until this season. Therefore, I am particularly excited to see this season being released on DVD. Here is a breakdown of the episodes that will be on this set:
1. The Cult-- Raymond and Robert go to extreme measures to try and solve the feud between Debra and Marie that began at the end of season six.
2. Counseling-- After getting an idea from their friends Linda and Bernie, Debra decides that she and Raymond need some marriage counseling.
3. Homework-- Frustrated by the amount of homework Ally gets (since he's the one stuck helping her with it), he confronts the teacher about it, who invites him to present his case in front of the school board.
4. Pet the Bunny-- As a challenge, Ray decides to write a eulogy for Frank, which helps to reveal a softer side of the tough guy.
5. Who Am I?-- Ray fears that something is wrong with him when he goes out for a night with his friends and tells Debra that something is wrong with him. Debra, who thinks Ray is finally "growing up," is shocked to learn he wants to join his father's lodge.
6. Robert Needs Money-- When Robert says he is strapped for cash, Ray and Debra give him a gift of $1000, only to be shocked to find out later that he is going to use the money for a Las Vegas vacation.
7. The Sigh-- Ray gives full control of their bathroom to Debra to give her more space, but quickly regrets it after teasing ensues from Robert and Frank.
8. The Annoying Kid-- While Debra is thrilled to have met a couple that she and Ray can be friends with, Ray is less than thrilled about their spoiled, annoying 8 year old son.
9. She's the One-- Robert thinks he has finally found "the One" girl, Angela, with whom he might be able to spend the rest of his life. However, trouble ensues when Ray notices her at their table eating a fly that she killed after dinner.
10. Marie's Vision-- Marie gets new glasses and with her better eyesight, she starts noticing and pointing out physical features on her family members that make them extremely sensitive.
11. The Thought That Counts-- Robert gives Ray an idea of what to get Debra for Christmas, but is upset when Ray takes all the credit for it.
12. Grandpa Steals-- Ally is frightened when she watches Frank samples some trail mix in the grocery store, despite the sign that forbids sampling, and yells at the salesman who confronts him to accuse him of stealing from the store.
13. Somebody Hates Raymond-- After his friend Andy lands a job with a famous sports radio talk show host, Ray is shocked to learn that this man does not want him as a guest on his show because he hates him.
14. Just a Formality-- Robert decides that he is finally ready to propose to his on-again-off-again girlfriend Amy, but when he asks her ultra-conservative religious parents for her hand, he is turned down. (A CLASSIC episode!!!!)
15. The Disciplinarian-- Tired of always being labeled as the bad guy with the twins, Debra makes Raymond force the twins the clean their room, and his failure to do so prompts a family discussion of what it means to discipline your children.
16. Sweet Charity-- Debra encourages Ray to do some charity work at the local hospital, but becomes upset when Ray becomes a hit with the patients and starts spending more time at the hospital than at home.
17. Meeting the Parents-- When Amy's parents arrive at her doorstep to talk her out of marrying Robert, they meet Frank and Marie. It's not long before the two sets of parents start disliking each other. (Another classic episode!)
18. The Plan-- When Robert is put in charge of the wedding invitations and consults Ray and Frank for help, they encourage him to do a bad job on purpose so that Amy won't make him do any more to help. Unfortunately, the bad invitation is the one that accidentally gets sent out.
19. Sleepover at Peggy's-- Ray takes Ally to a sleepover at a friend's house and is mortified when the mother Peggy, who is the same troop leader who beat him up in season six's episode "Cookies," pats his behind.
20. Who's Next-- After Marie suggests the idea when an elderly woman down the street passes away, who Marie had chosen for Frank in the event she died first, Ray and Debra pick replacement spouses for each other, but jealousy isn't far behind.
21. The Shower-- Debra throws a bridal shower for Amy, but Marie's interference makes her angry to the point of drinking too much. While waiting for a ride home from Ray, an officer carts her off to jail. Without a driver's liscence, Debra must rely on Marie for help.
22. Baggage-- Ray and Debra end up in a two-week standoff over who should move a suitcase that is sitting in the stairwell, prompting Marie and Frank to offer advice on how to resolve the situation based on their own experiences.
23. The Bachelor Party-- Ray throws a lame bachelor party for Robert, and is prompted by the ladies to throw him another one to make up for it.
24. Robert's Wedding (parts 1 and 2)-- Robert and Amy get married, but as is always typical with the Barone clan, things are never destined to go smoothly...including Marie standing up at the part where the priest says "If anyone can think of any reason why these two should not be joined, speak now or forever hold your peace."
I am thrilled over how consistent they have been with the Raymond releases. I think it's safe to say we'll have the complete series by summer 2007 next year. Buy season 7 and continue to enjoy this classic sitcom that truly serves as a microcosm for the modern American family. You won't regret it, I promise!

Stella - Season One (2005) Review

(More customer reviews)I hate to just throw another five stars at Stella with the other reviewers, but it deserves nothing less! The comedy is brilliantly simple, which is hard to find in TV these days. The plots are simple and predictable enough that the ridiculousness of the jokes becomes the focus of each episode. It's amazing how few television shows take the absurdist route these days, but at the same time; I would have never guessed that three men in suits that act like toddlers could make me seriously laugh. The three main actors are hysterical in their unusual relationship with each other.
I watched much of the show's first season, and immediately decided that it was some kind of independant group that had come up with their own plots, and would stay away from the mainstream. However, they score huge credibility with great guest stars (Jeanine Garofalo, Paul Rudd I believe?), that play off of the absurdist comedy with some strange touch of realism. I can't recommend this show enough.
