(More customer reviews)Playboy comes out with a new video called California Girls. It has Suzanne Stokes (POM 02/00) on the Cover. Sounds like a pretty hot video, with fresh new faces right? Not really. Suzanne's segment lasted one minute and forty-five seconds. That's it! I timed it. The scene shows Suzanne in various skimpy bikini's, and every once in a while the camera pans past her and she isn't wearing the bikini. Before you know it, the scene is over.
Playboy defines this video on the back of the cover as a collection of playboy's greatest California scenes from the past. There's no new stuff here. Ninety percent of the video consists of segments from previous videos. Maybe it's 100%, and I just haven't seen all the scenes before. Some of the scenes date back to the late 1980s and early 1990s. As you can imagine, this results in very poor and grainy DVD quality for these segments.
There are scenes from more recent videos, such as Playboy's Pajama Party. The scene of the girls lying around the pool from the Pajama Party is included on this video. Nice segment, but I already have it. Also included in this video, are various scenes from the Wet and Wild videos. Once again, some of them are nice, but it's old stuff. The only thing new in the video, as far as I can tell, is Suzanne's short appearance and a four or five minute scene featuring Summer Altice. Summer's segment shows her running and posing on the beach in and out of a bikini. This was probably the highlight of the video because it was new, or should I say, it's new to me. This segment will probably appear in the 2002 Playmate Calendar.
Overall, not much if anything is new here. If you are a collector, you should probably pass. If your new to Playboy video's, you can get a decent assortment of scenes with beautiful naked women.

DON'T DO IT! WASTE OF MONEY! Nothing erotic here, as they claim. There is absolutely NO nudity in this video and it has nothing to do with fitness. There is NO "bonus material" as they claim on the cover. The entire video is LESS THAN 25 MINUTES LONG. But, considering the footage on this DVD, 25 minutes is way too long. Much of the video is scratchy and blurred, I guess they were going for an old time projector "special effect" look, for whatever reason. NOTE TO PRODUCERS EVERYWHERE: Skip the cheezy "special effects" and just show the ladies! I will never buy another product from these people again, they have no right to be in the video biz.
You'll find more "erotic excitement" paging through the woman's underwear pages of the Sears catalog than you'll find in this video. I don't want to slam the models here, but I doubt they are even Russian, just out of work actresses using "made up" Russian names. This low-budget production couldn't even afford to pay them enough to get naked, how could they afford to find real Russians?
I actually considered trying to sell my copy as "used" before giving it a bad review, but then I decided to do the right thing and warn all of you not to buy this piece of crap. So many productions out there are completely misleading with their video cover pictures and author reviews. It is up to us to inform and warn each other about terrible videos such as this series.
In fact, if you are stranded alone on a deserted island with just a generator, a TV, a DVD player, and either "Russian Sexy Fitness Models" DVD, Vol. 1 or 2, you may try hanging yourself with the power cords after watching this video. But don't do that, don't waste your valuable time watching it, try this instead, scratch a rescue note onto the DVD disc, fling it out into the ocean, then maybe a big fish will eat it, then maybe a fisherman will catch that fish, clean it find your note and rescue you.

Mystique: Naked Island Race (2006) Review

(More customer reviews)It seemed a good idea to have a kind of treasure-hunt race with sexy models in Belize. Sounded fun to me, and might even provide some ideas for games at a nudist resort. But in the making of this film, apparently the ladies were not told that the title would be "Naked Island Race." I'd estimate they're unclothed maybe 10% of the time, and the rest of the time are mostly covered up with t-shirts and thongs. Why didn't they at least make it bikinis, for crying out loud?! And I'm not so much bothered by the raininess, except that the camera lens often has a lot of water drops on it, and what's the deal with the light in quite a few scenes causing such a bad over-exposure? The ladies in this are nice-looking enough, but it's all quite a dreary result......

The girls are cute and seem to be having a lot of fun, and this gonzo element is, in my opinion, what sets Hot Body videos apart from many others. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more unscripted action in these videos, with the cameras rolling while we hear the girls chat more among themselves.

Seriously bad, horrible, annoying transition effects - the screen goes to blinging white every thirty seconds, horrible lighting - you just don't use red gels for a relaxing yoga scene - and nearly zero action. the "advanced weapons" portions of the tai chi was outright laughable...a bunch of strippers posing clumsily with obvious prop weapons...
The girls are well-built, any one of them could place in a miss trailer park pageant, but not one of them knows what she is doing or even looks asian for that matter. A few of them are sporting dragon tatoos, if that counts for anything. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those martial arts purists (I've alway felt that self defense is best learned by barfighting) but even I was insulted by the performances.
I bought this DVD because I have an enormous TV I never use and wanted something to run constantly and in the background. I figured naked women was more interesting than fish, but this DVD challenges that theory. Even if you aren't looking at it, the lighting and transition effects create an uncomfortable atmosphere in the room. Everybody involved with this DVD (except the models) should be shot.
It fails for atmosphere, fails for vouyerism (get totally nude aerobics instead), fails as instructional material and fails as performance art. Just a waste of time and money.

With lots of booze and fun activities the people get to know eachother. Sometimes they hook up (have sex) sometimes they don't. This is real. Though there is sex it is not porn. It is reality TV and it is awesome. They are dental techs, gym rats, etc, the type of people that live in LA and are sexually active.
Get this DVD and thank me later.

Erotic Survivor 2 (2002) Review

(More customer reviews)Erotic Survivor is a pretty funny spoof of the reality show Survivor, poking great fun in particular at the whole alliance and trust aspect of the game. We see a lot of individual segments with each character, which makes the Survivor gambit play even better. We start out with 8 contestants, all of whom are stranded out in the woods a good hundred feet from civilization, and director John Bacchus stands in as the Jeff Probst-like host. The contestants are in for 3 days of roughing it, while competitions are held each day to determine what tribe loses out. On one side we have the Hey-Hu-Nanni tribe with the annoying hypocrite Christian, the weird whiskey-drinking Ward (who actually resembles Burt Ward), the doped-up hippy Bernie, and Mary the professional censor. Across the way, there is the Pu-Nanni tribe consisting of a red-headed Esmerelda Dellarocco, Jade Duboir, the enticing Misty Mundae, and the typically outgoing Darian Caine. The girls' principal weakness is their preoccupation with carnal matters of a decidedly female nature, although this preoccupation also affords them an effective means of keeping their spirits up. The prize all of these men and women are playing for is an incredible sum of twenty dollars (that's not a typo)-that kind of money can buy you a lot of beer, as Darian points out. Competitions consist of a truth-baring relay with something other than a baton, a Spam can-opening contest, and a question and answer round on the subject of sexuality.
The erotic segments of the movie aren't bad, but they're not what I would call sizzling either. Fans of both Darian Caine and Misty Mundae should not work themselves into a frenzy because there is no intense interaction between the two here; I myself found that somewhat disappointing. Actual Survivor moments are put to good use here, including a tapioca search and the discovery of a supposedly hot mud pit. If you watch this movie for the girls only, you might be disappointed to find that there is as much time spent on spoofing Survivor as there is. The erotic action is actually somewhat limited in this Seduction Cinema production, but there is a better than average amount of comedy. My particular favorite moment is Esmerelda stopping to light a cigarette while trying to start a fire by banging rocks together. Featuring a heavy-handed satirical take on Survivor, plenty of laughs, and a decent amount of Seduction Cinema girls being Seduction Cinema girls, this low-budget video is not a bad way to waste and hour and a half.

Survival Island (2006) Review

(More customer reviews)The original title for this late night cinemax fare was "Three" and it is the brain child of Billy Zane and his (real) wife Kelly Brook who both co-star in this by the numbers thriller. So as for the plot we have a rich couple (Zane and Brook) on a fishing trip with friends. The boat promptly sinks and the couple, along with the poor deck hand Pablo, wash ashore on a deserted island with no food, and a few supplies. Most notably goggles, a lighter, and obviously plenty of razors and shaving supplies as throughout their long stay on the island they all appear perfectly groomed. The laws of late night cimemax kick in and a love triangle developes with the expected results. I was entertained on my first viewing, mostly due to topless Kelly Brook and as another viewer mentions, there is a twist at the end. Overall this effort by Zane and Brook is a notch above the standard late night cinemax flick. I give three stars to "Three."

I was looking for something with a little action though, my husband I wanted to watch something together. There is no actual sex scenes in this. A friend recommended it to me when I told her I wanted a film with real people. I don't know, maybe the other cathouse DVD is better?

(More customer reviews)I reveiewed the first season box set of this series. It was more expensive than the second series, but had more bonus features as well. This review is more for those who already know the series, but want to know what this DVD offers. On 2 discs you have all 10 episodes, and audio options. On the 2nd disc, there is a bonus feature called family shorts. Basically it's just a few minutes of Q&A with Seymore, Cousin Stevie, and Mari Possa. My position is that I wouldn't mind paying an additional $20 for more bonus options. For the price, it's not bad.

Reality TV may be, for the large part, nonfiction, but it deliberately chooses outlandish scenarios and unusual people for its subject matter. Porn actor and director Adam Glasser, aka Seymore Butts, is perfectly material for such a show. In FAMILY BUSINESS Glasser struggles with problems that face almost everyone: raising his kids, dealing with family, going to work, trying to succeed, and looking for love but coming up short. The difference, of course, is the wide gap between the ordinariness of Glasser`s life when juxtaposed with his career. FAMILY BUSINESS goes a long way in de-mystifying the adult film industry by showing its day-to-day workings and revealing how many of its personnel are largely regular folks. Glasser`s operation is also unusual in the industry as it includes his understanding mother and clueless cousin. SEASON TWO continues the series` examination of the world of adult film while maintaining a tone of familial warmth and comedy.
