I like the one in Morocco, because I laugh over and over during the scene when he eats putrid meat, and hits his head with his hands. We enjoy it repeadedly.

(More customer reviews)I received my DVD in record timing but I was a little put off by the segments missing in collection Three. I was looking forward to seeing Andrew in Ethiopia, Uganda, and Japan. Also missing is the Halloween special and the Holiday special. I can only give this DVD one star.

(More customer reviews)My mother taught cooking - first in our home, then in a shop/school/restaurant she opened back in the 1970s. It was not unusual for me to eat sweetbreads or calves brains or raw meat back then - which gave me my foundation for a love of indigenous foods. That may have a bearing on why I just adore Andrew Zimmern and his series Bizarre Foods. He has a love of culture and treats the people who host his tours of different countries with such honor and respect. At the same time he fun, witty and charming. I find every episode of this collection as well as the first one exciting to watch. I cannot say enough nice things about the show itself as I feel there is an importance to people understanding true local foods and cultures that have not been tampered with by refined foods that frankly -are not doing us any good at all. I would rate this series 10 stars if I could. Who knew watching a man eat fish eyes could be so much fun!

(More customer reviews)Dhani Jones really makes this program. Great personality, sense of humor and a natural in front of the camera. Locations are interesting with a novel approach to learning about other locations from a sports angle. Dhani completely throws himself into each cultural experience. I especially got a kick out of the extra challenges he faced, good-naturedly, in the Cambodia episode. This man has a whole other career waiting for him once he leaves football. I predict we'll be seeing a lot more of him in the future.
Interesting locales, challenges, beautiful photography and a host who feels like a best friend--how can you go wrong? Highly recommended!!

(More customer reviews)since we aren't blessed enough to get DVD releases of Gordon Ramsay over here in the States, at least we have local bad boy foody Tony Bourdain! i absolutely LOVE this guy! i could go on and on and gush like a giddy schoolgirl, but i won't ;)
what i will go on about is why they aren't releasing the COMPLETE SEASON!? i've contacted Image Entertainment, and no answer... so this really sucks! also, i wonder if we (in the U.S.) will get the uncensored EXTENDED Euro-versions? i'm already not going to buy this set because it's NOT complete, but if we don't get the extended versions, i'll be really annoyed, as i know for a fact there is extra footage shown in Europe that doesn't make it over here. i record the Travel Channel episodes to a set-top Digital Video Recorder (harddrive) and i have ALL seasons 1, 2 and now starting 3 burned to DVDR, so unless they are releasing EXTENDED VERSIONS, with COMMENTARIES, EXTRA INTERVIEWS, OUTTAKES, etc. i'm happy to just watch my DVDRs of the broadcast versions if there's nothing EXTRA for spending money.
anyway, let's hope there will be a EUROPEAN DVD release of the complete season 1.
oh, and whoever owns the rights to "A Cook's Tour" -- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release those Season sets!!!

(More customer reviews)Man Vs. Food.. Ahh yes, a guilty pleasure. Now in my travels, should I happen upon one of these locations, I most definitely will stop in for a bite to eat. Adam is a great host. For him being a New Yorker and taking on an eating challenge in Boston and walking out with new friends, that speaks well of the kind of guy he is. Well done Adam. I look forward to Season Two, Three, and so on. =]
I am giving the DVD 4 stars for the DVD itself, not the content. There is no PLAY ALL option. Also, the DVD does not automatically cycle down to the next episode when one finishes. For someone into marathon DVD sessions of TV series, this annoyance is, well, a drag to say the least.
The bonus material is AWESOME. Loved the best places to pig out. That's worth like 3 or 4 episodes in itself.
Again, 5 starts for the show and content. 4 stars because of the DVD itself.
