I received my DVD in record timing but I was a little put off by the segments missing in collection Three. I was looking forward to seeing Andrew in Ethiopia, Uganda, and Japan. Also missing is the Halloween special and the Holiday special. I can only give this DVD one star.

Savor the weirdest the world has to offer with Andrew Zimmern, the planet's most adventurous eater! Armed with taste buds of iron, Andrew samples beaver chili in Maine, chows on cheese-sprinkled cow spleen in Sicily, learns to "confit" an entire piglet in a lesson from Chef Ben Ford (Harrison Ford's son) in Los Angeles and enjoys "Bombay Duck" - actually an ugly, smelly lizard eaten whole, bones and all - in Goa and so much more! Each episode of this popular series is a death-defying culinary adventure that will have you salivating for the next!Stills from Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern (Click for larger image)

The Munsters - America's First Family of Fright (Documentary) (2000) Review

The Munsters - America's First Family of Fright (Documentary) (2000)

Back in August 2004, Universal released The Munsters: Season One DVD. The set featured all 38 episodes plus the unaired pilot, but no extras. This set, The Munsters - America's First Family of Fright, an independent 2-disc (243 min.) set, with extras, from Image Entertainment was also planned to arrive on August 24th, the same day as Universal's The Munsters: Season One release. Fearing consumers would be confused by what they would be getting from the two Munsters sets, Image pulled their release with the intent to simply release it at a later date. But then Universal expressed interest in using it as extras for the Munsters Season Two set. Universal and Image negotiated and voila! The Munsters Season Two released with extras: the four documentaries that make up Disc One of this 2-disc set listed below.
Four Amazing Looks at the Munsters:
The Munsters: America's First Family of Fright
Fred Gwynne: More than a Munster
Yvonne DeCarlo: Gilded Lily
Al Lewis: Forever GrandpaAnd here's the previously unreleased material you're getting that make up Disc Two of this 2-disc set:
Hours of Eerie Extras:
"My Fair Munster" plus 3 Different Presentations in Black and White and Color; Unaired Main Title Sequence (Pilot Version); CBS Network Promos; The Munsters in Several Vintage TV Special Appearances: "Seven Wonderful Nights" (CBS Special with Buddy Ebsen); "Wayne & Schuster Take an Affectionate Look at the Monsters"; "Marineland Carnival" (CBS Special); "Big G, Little O"; "It's What's Happening, Baby" (with "Murray the K"); "We Don't Knock" (with Lenny Clarke).
Plus: Universal Newsreels; Syndication TV Spots; Munsters Go Home Theatrical Trailer and TV Spots. This set is a "no-brainer" purchase if you don't already own The Munsters Season Two DVD, but for those that do already own the Munsters Season Two set (with the Disc One documentaries from this set), just know you run the risk of double-dipping on Disc One content (assuming the docs are the same versions) so you may want to first rent and compare before you decide to buy.

Haunted: The Complete Series (2002) Review

Haunted: The Complete Series (2002)

I have been waiting for this fantastic series starring Matthew Fox for the last eight years to be released on DVD!!!
Matthew plays Police Officer Frank Taylor who has the perfect job and family until his son is abducted leading to his life, career and marriage destroyed. He becomes a Private Investigator specialising in missing and abducted children cases.
Frank's life is changed forever while trying to aprehend Simon a man linked to several child abductions. A fatal clash leaves Simon dead and Frank in a critical condition. As Doctors try to save his life, Frank has a near death experience in which he sees his missing son. When he regains consciousness, he finds that the dead can communicate with him and help him in his work to solve cases. However Simon and other dead people use his new abilities to intentionally mislead or harm him.
I live in the UK and one of my TV channels Zone Horror has just showed 11 episodes, it was shown on Sky in 2003. However I am hoping that the Complete Series on two DVD's contains the episode not shown, a Christmas episode called It's A Wonderful Afterlife.
