When i got this dvd Naturally Sadie show some of the color quality was bad and the screen was a little messed up and really bad when i got it. the quality was so poor and the features sucked. this product was not very good and was made so bad. I wasted money and i think this seller grabs money from people and sells bad products along with a few other sellers. I like honest people who sell and who don't try to rip people off with money and sell bad products.

This was my favorite show when I was a kid. I recently ordered the Season One set from Canada and found that I like the episodes as much today as I did long ago. Seasons One and Two of this series are undoubtedly the best; they have the most diverse array of unique, engaging stories with good dialog and acting. After Season Two, the series becomes derivative and disapointing. The show fell into a common trap: it began to immitate itself. The episodes in the Freaky Favorites collection are the first six episodes of Season Six. Keep in mind that Season Six is the first season of the revival series that aired about three years after the original. The quality of these episodes, as one might expect, is low; however, I recommend purchasing the Freaky Favorites set to show everyone that you are interested in the series. This could result in the U.S. release of the early seasons, the marvelous ones, which is what most of us truly desire.
All of you should make sure that you go to Amazon.ca and buy Season One! Pre-order Season Two as well! Canadian DVDs are Reagion 1, just like all DVDs in the U.S., so your player will definitely be able to read them. Also, shipping is faster than you might expect; I live in Chicago and it took Season One only a few days to arrive at my front door. Treat yourself to these amazing collections and spread the word!

Northern Exposure Seasons 1 - 4 DVD Bundle (2006) Review

Northern Exposure Seasons 1 - 4 DVD Bundle (2006)

"Northern Exposure - Seasons 1-4"(Universal)...
Chris in the Morning...the one and only DJ at the little radio station (KBHR), in Cicely, Alaska is about to give the traffic report..."Maggie O'Connell just drove down Main St, and she's going a little too fast". That about sums up the pace of this little remote town, elevation 6,572, that with the addition of Dr. Joel Fleischman, newly arrived from New York City, has a population of 215 quirky, but very lovable residents.
Dr. Fleischman(Rob Morrow) is being held against his will. Going through medical school with the financial help of the good people of the state of Alaska(as he is constantly reminded), he is now committed to serve his time...a few years of medical services in return for his Columbia University education. It won't be so bad...a condo in Anchorage, golfing on the weekends, a nice office in the city..but wait..hold the phone...instead of Anchorage, he's roped into serving his time in Cicely!
Joel is always trying everything to find some loop-hole in his contract, and you will fall more in love with the wonderful characters and the beautiful surroundings with each episode. And...you'll have lots of laughs doing it. He is like a fish out of water as this big city yuppie deals with the everyday happenings in Cicely. "I'M A DOCTOR", he says over and over, as he contends with wild animals, plumbing problems, the wilderness, and interacts in the seemingly odd lives of the residents.
The stories you will find to be some of the best writing TV has to offer.
You can't help but to become attached to the residents. From the native Indians, to the ex-astronaut, the beauty queen, and to the folks who just found themselves there, wanting to start a new life and stayed. And apparently, Dr. Fleischman can't help it either, as by the end of the first season we see he has begun to warm to them and has started to discover the beauty of his surroundings as well.
The story lines will definitely keep a smile on your face.Right from the start there is even some great romantic tension between the Doc and Maggie(the local bush pilot, who also happens to be Joel's landlady). The cast is a marvelous ensemble. It includes Janine Turner, Barry Corbin and John Corbett.
Also included are deleted scenes and outtakes. The picture is beautiful, the sound is in DD2.0 surround, and there are captions in English for those who need them(this is always a plus in my book). It may also be viewed with French or Spanish subtitles. One thing I might have liked would be an insert with info about episode placements. Most of the discs are 2 sided, and that would have made it easier to find my place when I had to leave off.
The question is, is it better to go with a multi-pack or one season at a time. The prices from the outside sellers seem to be best at this time, but you should check for the best deal on the individual seasons(adding shipping charges from outside sellers) and see which comes out cheaper(amazon vs. merchants). Sometimes if you can find a good deal on a multi-season set from a merchant, it might work out best as you will only have the one time shipping fees(same for any number of DVDs). If you are patient you can put this(or each season) in your cart and watch for a good deal. Also keep in mind there are two more season(5 and 6) and the entire series is also packages together for sale as well.
If you are a fan, you will enjoy reliving some time in Cicely with the Doc, Holling and Shelly, Chris, Ed, Maurice, Marilyn, Maggie, and one very large moose! If you have never seen this and are looking for some really fine entertainment, you will find that here...but..be careful, you may want to pack it all in and move there! This would also make a great Christmas Present for anyone who loves this show.
enjoy...Laurie

The Complete Seasons 1 through 4 of Northern Exposure. Stuffed with Bonus Features. Deleted scenes, extended scenes, unexposed footage and lost storylines. Joel Fleishman is fresh out of medical college, and fresh out of luck. Failing to read the fine print in his scholarship conditions, he finds he has no choice but to move to the remote and somewhat eccentric town of Cicely, in the wilds of Alaska. Once there, he is welcomed by the peculiar locals who are not keen to see him go, most especially Maurice Minnifield, the ex-NASA astronaut. Despite Joel's adamant denials, one gets the impression that he enjoys life in Cicely more than he admits.

Jett Jackson: Movie (2001) Review

Jett Jackson: Movie (2001)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
"Jett Jackson The Movie" is like a cross between "The Parent Trap" and "Pleasantville". Filmed near the end of the Disney Channel series "The Famous Jett Jackson", it expands the series premise to a new feature length movie (this is all new stuff-not a group of old episodes edited together). As in the series, Lee Thompson Young plays the title character-a high school student who is also the star of a futuristic television series where he plays a teen action hero named Silverstone. At the beginning of the movie he is struggling with whether to renew his contract with the show, which is seriously cramping his school and social life. Meanwhile on the show his Silverstone character is unhappy working at Mission Omega Matrix.
One day on the set a malfunctioning prop transports him to a parallel world where he is actually the action hero he is playing. The accident causes him to switch places with his on- screen character, who is transported to Jett's world of family, school, and television. The remainder of the movie concerns the process of Jett and Silverstone figuring out what has happened to them and the challenges of taking over each other's lives. Both the series and the movie have excellent casts with Michael Ironside as the television villain Kragg, Lindy Booth as Silverstone's partner Hawk, Ryan Sommers Baum as Jett's friend J.B., and Kerry Duff (no relation to Hillary) as his love interest.
This is an entertaining film, especially for those who enjoy the series. It has the good production elements of more expensive Disney features including a lot of close-ups of the cast and some nice morphing effects. The series itself was a cheaper production, it relied mostly on wide shots and had minimal effects.
The film's limited popularity is probably because it is a bit too serious; they could have had a lot more fun with the premise. Young is not very good at expressing wide-eyed wonder at what is happening to either of his characters, he just looks stunned most of the time.
Then again, what do I know? I'm only a child.

Frasier: The Complete Second Season (2004) Review

Frasier: The Complete Second Season (2004)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I zipped right through this DVD set. Frasier's second season is just as strong as the first, and in many respects stronger. The Niles/Frasier dynamic is played out to great result, the writing is sharp, the acting perfect, there are guest appearances by Lilith and Sam Malone, and the season is nearly perfect, without even one clunker or filler episode. The result is some of the richest situational comedy ever to appear on TV.
Some of the highlights include the gay/straight farce "The Matchmaker", "The Botched Language of Cranes" is classic Frasier, where everything goes wrong, then gets even worse, after Frasier makes a comment about Seattle that pits the city against him. There is also an episode where Roz leaves to produce Bulldog's show (Roz in the Doghouse), "An Affair to Forget" has Frasier suspecting Maris of cheating on Niles and won an Emmy for writing. There's also a visit from the nefarious agent Bebe (Agents in America, Part III), as well as a great episode that has Niles and Frasier trying to run a restaurant, which predictably goes haywire. These are but a few highlights of this fantastic season of television.
In short, this is as close to perfection as television gets. Highly recommended.
