(More customer reviews)This DVD contains the best performance thus far from NSYNC, for those who missed it LIVE, or when it originally aired on HBO missed out on the best show on earth. I did not see this when it aired live on HBO as i was at the show. But did catch it on a reairing and was blown away again. It was filmed extremely well, and the 5.1 soundtrack on this rocks. The best filmed concert i have seen to date. Fans of the group will be very greatful to own this treasure.

(More customer reviews)This dvd is chopped up by interrupting several of the performances. This behind the scenes footage is ok between songs, but literally intrudes into some of the songs. Would have
been much better if the performances were uninterrupted, and you could access directly to the start of each song. The behind
the scenes stuff is ok the first time you watch, but after that you are still forced to watch it. Someone made a big mistake with this idea. If they wanted to include the behind the scenes stuff, it should have been added at the end as "bonus footage".
However, when you get Faith Hill singing, it is great.

Janet - Live in Hawaii (2002) Review

(More customer reviews)This is Janet so of course I had to give this 5 stars and its worth it. If you saw the concert you know its amazing. If you haven't read on. The concert starts off with janet running around the beach and under the waterfall topless and then she enters the stage fully clothed, amazing how does she do it. She plays the songs "If, That's the way love goes, All for you", and more of the classics and the new ones but nothing compares to the stage performance of "Would you mind". She has way out done her performance of "Rope Burn". In "Would you mind" she of course gets a guy out the audience and she puts him on this table specially made for a person that moves around and that's all I can tell you about it. The features are even better. It has a photo gallery, rehearsel, and a series of performances of "Would you mind" around the United States. The only bad thing I have about the DVD is that the crowd in Hawaii were not as wild as the New York crowd. The crowd had their burst of excitement but not full shouting like the New York crowd. The DVD is worth the money, the concert also last way over 2 hours long.

Tina Turner - One Last Time: Live in Concert (2000) Review

(More customer reviews)Well, Tina has done it for one last time! I sadly missed the actual concert tour, but I have the almost perfect VHS to make up for it. This concert took place in such a huge stadium, that it was amazing how Tina's voice overpowered the audience and the band.
This is the list of songs she did on the tape.
I want to take you higher, Absolutely nothing's changed, Fool in love, Acid queen, River deep Mountain high, We don't need another hero, Better be good to me, Private dancer, Let's stay together, What's love got to do with it, Help, Whatever you need, Try a little tenderness, I heard it through the grapevine, Addicted to love, Simply the best, Proud mary and Nutbush city limits
The sound and picture are as clear as if you were there in person. Tina and her band performed some songs faster than in the studio versions. These songs were Simply the best, Better be good to me and Nutbush. I liked the audience's approval and Tina's enthusiasm while ruling the stage for one last time. There wasn't a boring song in the programme.
Unfortunately, the DVD version has Xtra songs. The songs were edited from the VHS for no apparent reason. The editing is perfect though, because between songs, we don't wait long. Tina comes out for almost every song without a break! It shows Tina saved her best for last, and that she was a ball of pure energy on that stage.
The VHS is formatted for widescreen, just to let you know. A truly fantastic live concert and a memorable experience for any Tina Turner fan. I think this is the actual show that PBS took for their tv version a few months back, but nothing compared to this! After 4 decades of success, Tina Turner deserves to be titled "Simply the best"! A must have for everyone. Get it while it's hot.

Blast An Explosive Musical Celebration (2001) Review

(More customer reviews)I watched this tape a few weeks before I saw the actual show in Bloomington, and although the two were somewhat different, both were WELL worth the time and money spent. I was a little apprehensive when I first heard about the production, "A Drum Corps show on an auditorium stage? Riiight." But, being a fan I went ahead and gave it a chance just to see. Almost needless to say, I was blown away. The show on the video was a work of creative genius. My hat is off once again to Jim Mason and Bill Cook for their ever-outstanding work. I recommend this show, video or live to anyone interested in theatre, music, Drum Corps, marching band, or just having a blast (pardon the pun). There is really nothing like this out there, but the closest comparison I can make would be Stomp (with winds and a guard) or a full out DCI show... An awesome experience!

(More customer reviews)For those of who weren't born when Elvis struck America, here's the undiluted wonder. You get all three complete Ed Sullivan shows from his early days. You even get the ads for Mercury cars. Besides Elvis, you get to see the rest of Ed's cast of characters. Even that Senor guy who speaks to his hand. What's amazing is that there are so few ad breaks.
The only bummer is that this is each disc only has 1 show. This could have been a 2 DVD set.
A perfect gift for the Elvis lover. Or just someone who wants to watch Ed Sullivan in a non-highlights format.
