Loving Sex - Swinging: From Fantasy to Reality (2002) Review

Loving Sex - Swinging: From Fantasy to Reality (2002)

Full of unexpected twists and turns, this intriguing video will titillate you, inform you and send you out to play! Julie Ashton, an adult star of note, reports on exploring the joys of swinging with insightful questions and real sensitivity. She begins by taking her search to the street, speaking with a series of twenty-thirty something couples. One man confesses, as he smiles at his wife, "That's a fantasy of mine." His wife responds, "I fantasize but it's just something I talk about. I don't know if I'd really want to do that." Juli asks, "Do you think swinging is a better alternative than infidelity?" "Yes I do." He looks intently at his mate, "I think so, because I'm there watching her and I know everything that's going on. I get to do what I want and she gets to do what she wants. We're watching each other."
Both Anita Banker-Riskin and Dr. Michael Riskin are board-certified sex therapists. Discussion about swinging is interspersed between several explicit scenes with the primary couple featured throughout 'Swinging from Fantasy to Reality.' The timing of these discussions is set at key intervals of the primary couples' discovery of each other and their frontiers.
There is an easy transition into the fictional real life scenario of the primary couple visiting another couple's residence. Many delicious moments are shared in ways that show a progression of personal understanding and shared trust. Intriguing moments grip you with their unexpected tensions. For instance, in the scene where there are the two women are playing with one man, Juli Ashton (visiting as herself in the real life scenario) almost steals the show by repeatedly thrusting her breast into her lover's vagina. Inside the house the visiting couple see all of this taking place on the security camera. They become aroused and make love in the kitchen. Mutual orgasms were shared all round simultaneously by both men and all three women.
An uncontrived respect of privacy is maintained for a realistic time between the resident and visiting couples until the shower scene where the two women are having a shower (like they used to when they were children). At this time one of the men wanders into the bathroom and moments later is followed by the other man.
The moment becomes tension filled when couples swap and the visiting male is overwhelmed by the sound and sight of his wife with another man making her feel good. He leaves and is followed immediately by his wife. After a private and very frank exchange of feelings between them this issue is very appropriately addressed by another session with Doctor Michael Riskin and Anita Banker-Riskin. Anita Banker-Riskin clearly states that, "You can set your own ground rules. You can say no to anybody. The number one priority is always the couple, the marriage." It is suggested that they make love in the presence of the other couple without swapping. Dr. Riskin comments, "many people fantasize about having new, different, and exciting adventures in their relationships and this is a way of acting upon it. It's not a substitute for love in your primary relationship, that's number one and that's what really needs to be honored. Commitment and communication are key." Anita Banker-Riskin adds, "We believe being married is one of the hardest things to do. We believe in commitment, respect and trust." Concluding is a Q & A period with Juli Ashton, Dr. Michael Riskin, and Anita Banker-Riskin regarding the controversial issues of swinging, jealousy, marriage and commitment.
In Swinging from Fantasy to Reality, you'll find the plot and continuity to be consistent and realistic. The settings are diverse, utilizing both interior and exterior scenarios. The numerous sexually explicit scenes are ripe with real life textures and so stimulating in quantity and quality that one will want to watch this video over and over again. You may wish to add this selection to your Millennium wish list of things I'd like to think about trying before I get too old! Swinging from Fantasy to Reality will provide guidance as you and your partner discover your erotic limits by having your senses inspired with sexually appetizing real life scenarios.

Mini's First Time (2006) Review

Mini's First Time (2006)

Disappointed by family life, particularly her relationship with her mother, Mini rebels and becomes a person without remorse. She becomes a prostitute, in fact her stepfather is her second client. They start an affair and eventually team up to drive her mother insane, it works too well, and soon are investigated by a detective. Mini's First Time has no moral conscience so its definitely not for everyone, but for those who love imperfect characters and like femme fatales then this movie might be for you.

Alec Baldwin is Martin, the wealthy, clueless stepfather of Mini (played by Nikki Reed). She's clever and has a healthy libido. And she's on a mission to stir up as much trouble as she can before her high school graduation. It's pretty clear where Mini got her conniving streak from-her mom (Carrie-Anne Moss) who spends more time partying than with her husband. Diana quickly becomes the third wheel when Martin and Mini's relationship escalates. A series of disturbing events at their posh modern house finally prompts the arrival of John (Luke Wilson) as a nosey detective on the case. Jeff Goldblum delivers another shot of star quality playing the cheesy TV show host who lives next door. Part Heather and part Lolita, Mini's a girl to watch out for in this delightfully warped comedy.

It's Complicated (2009) Review

It's Complicated (2009)

Romatic comedy--usually not my genre. This one's different. Very funny, and it's got just the right mix of elements. Number one -- should I say it again -- truly very funny. Everyone in the theatre I saw it with was laughing out loud and having a great time. Number Two -- intelligently written, no mediocrity here. Number Three -- it's about real people who are grown-ups (well, maybe Alex Baldwin's character has got a ways to go), people with lives, children, and friends. Number Four -- it has a good spirit. So many of what passes as comedy today is nothing but nasty or stupid. That's not what's happening here. It's Complicated manages to be generous and wise about human nature without being mushy. Number Five -- Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, and Alex Baldwin do a great job, and seem to be enjoying themselves. I give it a 5 for "totally entertaining".

Two-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin star in this hilarious look at marriage, divorce and everything in between. Jane (Streep) has three grown kids, a thriving Santa Barbara bakery and an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, Jake (Baldwin). Now, a decade after their divorce, an innocent dinner between Jane and Jake turns into the unimaginable - an affair. Caught in the middle of their rekindled romance are Jake\'s young wife and Adam (Martin), a recently divorced architect who starts to fall for Jane. Could love be sweeter the second time around? It\'s\' complicated! From writer/director Nancy Meyers comes the comedy that critics call "laugh-out-loud funny" (Rex Reed, The New York Observer).

The Mind of the Married Man - The Complete First Season (2001) Review

The Mind of the Married Man - The Complete First Season (2001)

I didn't give this show much of a chance when it first came on but ended up watching a few and got totally hooked. I had missed much of the first season, so recently I bought the 2 DVD set.
I must say that this series has gotten many very negative reviews and only lasted two seasons, but one thing I didn't know till I got the DVDs and listened to Binder and Walgner talk about the show was that it premiered on 9/11/2001, it never had a hope. It was upstaged by the biggest event of the new century.
After watching the whole DVD series I can say that this show did have a lot of heart. This struggle for a married man (of which I am one) to remain happy and loyal when opportunity runs rampant in his life is one I can relate to. Mickey has it all, a good job, smart perky wife who he obviously loves, but he is constantly tempted and pushed into outside relationships by his friends, hot young assistant, and his own insecurity.
I think Binder did an effective job of getting us married men thinking about all the crap that goes around in our heads every day. I'm not saying the acting or writing were Emmy quality, but it was a good, intriguing show and should be recognised as such.
