(More customer reviews)A must-have for any comic book fan! Kevin Smith is in the interviewer's chair and does a great job of interviewing the ultimate comics man. Stan Lee tells his life story focusing on the creation of Spiderman and the other super-heroes he created during the 60's as well as some of the controversial moments such as when an issue of Spiderman was published without the seal of the Comics Code.
Additional features include an interview with Stan's wife.

In 1961, Stan Lee teamed with artist Jack Kirby to create the super-hero team, The Fantastic Four, changing the face of comic books forever. They then went on a creative rampage, creating the Incredible Hulk, the Mighty Thor, and the X-Men. Then, in 1964, Lee teamed with Steve Ditko to create a teenage super-hero with teenage characteristics. The amazing Spider-Man would become the most popular comic book character in the world. (More customer reviews)I haven't had any problems at all with my two discs. They play just fine and look fine.
My only beef would be the change in the animation & writting after episode 4. It became way to 'cutesy' and less crass. No more exposed breasts get shown, no more truely funny innuendos. I felt like I was watching a saturday morning fluffy cartoon.
Now I understand why it got cancelled. Someone screwed with it and screwed it up.
It is worth buying for the orginial first 4 episodes tho.
