WWE: Breaking Point 2009 (2009) Review

(More customer reviews)Once again, thanks to WWE Classics On Demand, I was able to see WWE's new concept PPV that replaced the annual Unforgiven card with this event being named Breaking Point in which all of the main event matches need to end by someone submitting.
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs M.V.P. & Mark Henry. As I have mentioned before, I am not really big on the whole "Jeri-Show" tag team while I can care less about the M.V.P./Henry duo. Although, I am happy to say that this was a good opener that the crowd actually got into with the action getting better when Jericho took on M.V.P. while the action slowed when Show was working with Henry.
United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs The Miz. This was one of those matches that was better than what it looked on paper as the action was getting better as time went on with both men doing counter after counter to the point that the crowd made no noise at the start but slowly got into the action. Definitely the "sleeper" match of the night & both men's best match up to this point.
Submissions Count Anywhere: D-Generation X vs Legacy. Before the match, there was some comedy as the crowd quickly cheered but then turned in the "You Screwed Bret" chants towards Shawn Michaels (they are in Montreal) with Triple H pulling off the quick one-liner that had everyone laughing. Anyways, this was a brawl that went all over the building with moments of both teams using innovative submission attempts like the camel clutch & boston crab on a folded chair by DX, Cody doing the Gory Guerrero special, the double figure four in the aisle way before Legacy was able to take out Triple H & dominate HBK in the ring including the finishing move of the figure four around the ringpost combined with the million dollar dream. This was my favorite match of the night as Legacy got the biggest win in their young careers while both teams still left the match strong.
Singapore Cane Match: Kane vs The Great Khali. Honestly, I just fast-forward this match since these two just don't work well together & who ever made this feud needs to get shot.
ECW Champion Christian vs William Regal. Now, this was the match that we should have gotten at SummerSlam as this was a great mat-based wrestling match with Regal actually being able to control the action at times including using some of his stiff offense including one knee to the face to Christian that it had everyone in the arena turn their heads. We all know the type of performance Christian can deliver & just like the previous title match, the crowd got into the action as time went on as this was again, another great match.
I-Quit Match: WWE Champion Randy Orton vs John Cena. If you can get pass the whole predictable finish (I honestly saw it coming from a mile away) including the quick STF finish, this match told a good story of how Orton was just punishing Cena throughout the match to the point where his offense was calculating just to make Cena suffer with one moment to point out being Cena being handcuffed to the ringpost, only to be beaten with a singapore cane. Again, a good story told but this was no where near their SummerSlam clash from the month prior.
Submission Match: World Champion CM Punk vs The Undertaker. This was a real disappointment as this match ended just when it was starting to pick up and become really good. Both men worked well together in the short time that they had but this was all about setting up another "Screwjob" in Montreal as Taker won the match originally but then had the decision reverse that lead to Theodore Long & the referee pulling off something that we have seen before. A bad way to end the night as I actually enjoyed their Hell In A Cell match a month later more than this.
Overall, this event had three matches worth checking out in DX/Legacy, Kofi/Miz & Christian/Regal while the rest was either watchable or just bad so hopefully this was the first & only time WWE will use this concept because it really did hurt the event more than helped.

WWE: Hell in a Cell 2009 (2009) Review

(More customer reviews)Another concept PPV by the WWE in which they actually used the Hell In A Cell to end their main event matches but I would give the same point that I addressed at Breaking Point at the end of this review.
Hell In A Cell: World Champion CM Punk vs The Undertaker. After the disappointing result from Breaking Point, this match actually delivered here as Taker tried to use his power & even attacking Punk various times with the Cell itself. Punk was able to use his speed & quickness to the point where he heavily focused on Taker's leg that ended up becoming a factor at times in the match with weapons like a steel chair & even the ring steps getting used as well. If you can take under consideration that this match was short due to Taker's condition at this point in his career, this was my favorite Cell match of the night as both men put on a good performance with the crowd heavily into the action.
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler. The continuation of the WWE pushing the Intercontinental Championship to where it belongs as these two hard workers had a very athletic contest with the action being fast paced at times as Ziggler just keeps impressing each & everytime I have seen him while I already know how great of a performer Morrison is. It's not a classic like the Mysterio/Jericho series earlier in the year but a very enjoyable encounter.
Divas Champion Mickie James vs Alicia Fox. The only part that got my attention during this match was the sick DDT that Mickie delivered at the end as this match was very dull & boring for me.
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs Batista & Rey Mysterio. Once again, I'll admit that I am no fan of the Jeri-Show tag team but each time I have seen them on PPV, they deliver & this was no exception. A very good tag team match as it seemed that all four men just stepped their game up for this match with Batista & Show meshing well with their power offense while we already know what to expect when Jericho works with Mysterio based of their series earlier in the year. I would rank this as the best match I have seen from the Jericho/Show tag team so far.
Hell In A Cell: WWE Champion John Cena vs Randy Orton. Just like their Breaking Point match, this was more of pushing the storyline & characters than putting on a good match while at the same time, this match came off more as a No Disqualification match than being a Cell match as this match had a slow pace with both men trying to play mind games with the other along with Orton doing his usual but great "Viper" attack even using a chair at one point or another. This would have been better as a No DQ match but I'll give it credit as this did tell a good story but overall, I thought it was a weak Cell match.
R-Truth vs Drew McIntyre. This was one of those matches that was placed on the wrong spot as if it was the opener, the crowd would have enjoyed it more as this was just a decent match but the crowd was really not into it as they chanted "Boring" during it.
United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs The Miz vs Jack Swagger. Just like the previous match, this match was at the wrong place at the wrong time. A good match for what it was but it was nothing really memorable which was a shame considering the surprise match that Kofi & Miz had the previous month.
Hell In A Cell: D-Generation X vs Legacy. Unlike how their SummerSlam & Breaking Point matches turned out, this was easily my least favorite out of their matches because I just found this match to be very predictable from start to finish. The beginning starts as a brawl between all four men before Cody & Dibiase tried to use the same tactics that payed off to them at Breaking Point by taking out Triple H & locking Shawn in the Cell to be tortured before Triple H was able to eventually get in the Cell to turn the tables on Legacy. Their previous matches had both teams exchange wins but everyone came off strong in the end where this match was more about showcasing Triple H's dominance than anything else. I know I am in the minority but I am just being honest in that I really didn't care for this match at all.
Overall, as I mentioned in the beginning of my review, this event was similar to Breaking Point in which a one time use of the concept will work (ex. DX/Legacy at Breaking Point & Taker/Punk here) but you can't get away with creating three of them & having every single one come off as a success. The undercard had some good matches here & there but this is really just another event that is good for a rental or WWE Classics On Demand but I would go out of my way to buy this.

WWE - Undertaker 15-0 (2007) Review

(More customer reviews)It's more expensive, but you get ALL the Undertaker's Wrestlemania matches uncut and all at once. Plus the Wrestlemanias themselves.
Unfortunately most of his matches are cut up and edited, leaving only the matches against Jimmy Snuka, Jake Roberts, Giant Gonzalez, King Kong Bundy, The Big Show & A-Train, Mark Henry, and Batista shown in their entirety, uncut.
While the disc claims to have interviews with all of his opponents, this is not only impossible (as Ray Traylor, the Big Boss Man, is dead) but the disc has NO interviews with any of his opponents regarding the matches.
Much of the matches could also be found on other DVD releases, like WWE Tombstone and individual Wrestlemania DVD releases (from 15-23 on DVD). This is just an attempt for the WWE to cash in on the Undertaker yet again with yet another DVD release.For 15 dollars, this is something of a good deal if you're not interested in buying the entire Wrestlemania anthology. But if you're a fan who has to have a series as important as Wrestlemania, just stick with that.

WWE: Survivor Series 2009 (2009) Review

(More customer reviews)WWE followed up last year's horrendous Survivor Series with a slightly better effort in 2009. Aside from one horrendous match, the card was mostly fine, but only one match was close to being anything special. Very forgettable show overall, but they did at least try to create some new stars and put over some young talent. The crowd was also dead for most of the night, which really hurt the show in some areas. Matches are rated out of 5 stars (*****).
1. Traditional Survivor Series Match
Team Miz (Miz, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, & Jack Swagger)
vs.
Team Morrison (John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Finlay, & Shelton Benjamin)
Decent Opener, but nothing special. It started off pretty hot with Evan Bourne working with Swagger and Ziggler, but once all three were eliminated they almost completely lost the crowd and nothing special happened. It came down to Morrison against McIntyre, Sheamus, and Miz, and he was defeated, so at least WWE threw some weight behind a few of their young and upcoming stars. **1/4
2. Batista vs. Rey Mysterio
Very short match. Mysterio started off with his usual flurries of offense but after only a couple minutes Batista took control and utterly decimated him. Crowd, interestingly enough, was almost 100 percent behind Batista as he powerbombed Rey 3 times and won via stoppage. After the match, amidst chants of "one more time," Big Dave gave Rey a spinebuster on a steel chair. *1/2
3. Traditional Survivor Series Match
Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, MVP, Mark Henry, R-Truth, & Christian)
vs.
Team Orton (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, William Regal, & CM Punk)
Good match. It came down to Kingston against Punk and Orton, and Orton stood on the outside for almost 10 minutes as Kingston and Punk wrestled with no crowd heat whatsoever. Kingston then pinned Punk after rolling through a cradle and seconds later hit Trouble in Paradise on Orton for the win, which the crowd actually reacted to. Not a lot of heat until the very end, but it was a good match. **3/4
4. World Heavyweight Championship Match
Undertaker (c) vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show
First title match of the night, and it was a pretty good match. All things considered I thought these three worked well together and had a better match than I'd imagined. That being said, it didn't exactly steal the show. Good finishing sequences with several near falls broken up by the third man, until Show knocked Jericho out and got caught in the Hell's Gate for the submission. **3/4
5. Traditional Survivor Series Match
Team Mickie (Mickie James, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Melina, & Eve Torres)
vs.
Team Michelle (Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Layla, & Alicia Fox)
This was just an awful match. Too many missed spots to mention, and there were several times when they almost killed each other with missed moves. It also seemed to go on FOREVER, and I was just begging for it to end. They must have been short on time. Anyway, Mickie and Melina are the survivors after Melina eliminates Michelle McCool. 1/2*
6. WWE Championship Match
John Cena (c) vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels
Best match of the night. Not a great match but very good, only match on the card that came close to being special. HBK superkicked Hunter straight away, and then worked with Cena for a while. Triple H eventually gave shawn a spinebuster through the announcer's table and worked alone with Cena. Then in the last third of the match they had some great triple threat near falls and all three worked together. Cena eventually won, "shockingly," and found himself awash with boos (crowd was against him the whole match, when they were actually making noise). Good match though, probably saved this ppv from being in the 2/5 star range. ***1/2
This was almost a waste of a ppv. The only real commendable thing I can say about it was that they tried to get some young talent over, which they desperately need. Other than that, this was one average match after another with a very good main event. Do not buy this on dvd, if you really have the urge to watch it, rent it, but it really is not worth your money.

WWE Survivor Series 2002 - Elimination Chamber (2002) Review

(More customer reviews)This was the PPV that saw the introduction into another WWE creation called "The Elimination Chamber". Not ever seeing this match or this type of cage before, it was definately something watching. All the emotion, suprizes, and matches made this one of the greatest WWE PPV's they've done since they split the roster into two shows.
Tables Match: Bubba Ray & Spike Dudley, Jeff Hardy vs. 3 Min. Warning & Rico - This was great match full different table spots from various parts of the arena. The ending with the reunion of Bubba Ray & D-Von was without a doubt the moment of the night with me.
Crusierweight Champion Jamie Noble vs Billy Kidman - Above average crusierweight match but didn't do a good job following up the previous match.
Hardcore Match: Womens Champion Trish Stratus vs Victoria - It says something when these two had a better hardcore match than a majority of the males wrestlers who've had one. This looked like a real fight using all these weapons & Victoria in this "psycho bytch" gimmick just makes this match better.
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs Big Show - This was a match that was more about getting a storyline over than having an actual match. Brock had a broken rib so he was limited in what he could do but in 4 mins., he did an F-5 to Big Show, had Heyman turn his back on him (which was being set up for weeks) & have Show cheat him out of the WWE Title.
Three Way Elimation Match: WWE Tag Team Champions Edge & Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit vs Los Guerrerros - Without a doubt, match of the year for me. You haven't seen off the chain tag team wrestling in WWE since this match. A wrestling clinic put on here by all six men.
Elimination Chamber Match: World Heavyweight Champion Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs Rob Van Dam vs Kane vs Booker T vs Chris Jericho - This match didn't disappoint & honestly, was the best Chamber match to date. Everyone looked like they legitly could win the belt as one point or another and this match had alot of moments in itself. Like RVD jumping off the walls like he was SpiderMan and even leaping off the top of one of the cells onto HHH & injuring his throat in the process...and even HHH's performance after that injury is something worth watching.
Overall, a perfect addition to anyone's collection.

WWE RAW: The Best of 2009 (2009) Review

I have been watching Raw since it was first airing back in 1993 and have never stopped since. Many memorable moments have happened and that includes over this past year. There are a lot of moments included in this set from guest hosts, to the shocking, to the comedic. I am sure you can see from other reviews here that there are some good moments on this set and some good matches. Of course keep in mind these are matches from Raw and not pay per views.
DISC 1
1.SHAWN MICHAELS VS JOHN CENA-the first match on the set is between two of my favorites, HBK all time fav and Cena another fav. This was during the time when Shawn had to listen to JBL and was told to soften up Cena for JBL's match at the Royal Rumble. This match between the two while not the classic their match was in 2007 I believe it was is still very good. In fact I enjoy this match a lot not only because of the action but the story involved. The action is back and forth with each guy inflicting good damage to the other. In the end HBK wins the match with or without JBL's help, you be the judge.4/5
2.[NO DQ - I-C TITLE] CM PUNK VS WILLIAM REGAL-the second match is between two more of my favorite wrestlers. This one is another good back and forth battle in which Punk avenges a something that happened prior. Regal of course has his girl interfere in the match but that means nothing. Punk becomes the I-C champion in a good no dq match, at least for Raw.4/5
3.SANTINO MARELLA VS MICKIE JAMES-believe it or not but two more of my all time favorites, Mickie I will always love and of course the comic genius Santino. This match was a special match were Santino had to beat Mickie with one arm tied behind his back. He had to do this in order to enter the Diva battle royal. The crazy idea of this match alone makes it a classic, and he still looses, I love it.5/5
4.TEN MAN WRESTLEMANIA ALLSTAR SHOWCASE-IN THIS SPECIAL MATCH Ricky Steamboat teamed with John Cena, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and Jeff Hardy against Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, Edge, and Nig Show. I know some people may disagree with me but I really do enjoy this match. I know it may not be a classic to some but just having The Dragon in there and the talent that was also involved just can't help but like it. With things that are going on lately I find myself enjoying things a lot more, the action in this is great. A lot of good back and forth action with every one getting in good spots but the feel good ending with Steamboat makes this a great moment. As far as matches on Raw go this is a 5 star one simply because it is just fun.5/5
5.CHRIS JERICHO VS JOHN CENA-I actually think this is another great match from Raw with two of my favorites going at it [I have been saying that a lot]. The action is good with the crowd really getting into this one. The London crowd make this match seem really epic, to bad Edge has to ruin it. Another good choice from the year for the set.4/5
6.RANDY ORTON VS MVP-the final match of the first disc is another well deserved match to the collection and like the others is a good match. Back and forth action with the Legend killer ending up getting caned by Shane. Another fun match with two of the futures biggest stars, good match.4/5
DISC 2
1.[US TITLE] MVP VS KOFI KINGSTON-the first match of disc 2 is another wise choice for the DVD as two of the young guns go at it with the US title on the line. Excellent back and forth on this one with Kofi getting that big win. I seem to be enjoying the selections for this set a lot. Both go at it with everything they have delivering for the fans.4/5
2.[WWE TITLE] RANDY ORTON VS TRIPLE H VSJOHN CENA VS BIG SHOW-this one right here is just another fun match and although not a classic there are some good high spots. Each person has a fair amount of time to shine dishing out punishment. But after a bunch of high spots Randy takes advantage of the situation and RKO's Big Show for the win and the title.4/5
3.[LAST MAN STANDING WWE TITLE] TRIPLE H VS RANDY ORTON-now this match here is excellent and was worthy of pay per view like it was supposed to be. Both of these guys go at it hard looking like they want to end each other. The action goes from the ring to the floor to all over the place and back. This gets violent at times at least to Raw standards and Randy keeps the title but is not the last man standing.5/5
4.RANDY ORTON VS EVAN BOURNE, JACK SWAGGER, MARK HENRY-Randy has to face off with Evan first and does a good job against him. The action is good with Evan getting in a few moments, still Orton finishes him. Next up is Jack but he opts to get a count out loss letting Orton move on to the next opponent. His final opponent was the world's strongest man and at first he seemed like he would opt out as well. But he took it to Randy and even beat him his first night back on Raw.3/5
5.RANDY ORTON VS TED DIBIASE-this match would pit two team members against each other as leader Orton went up against the Million Dollar man's kid. The match is good and for a while it seemed like the student would become the teacher. But Randy proved to be too much for Ted. Still it is a good match that kinda reminded me of the 90's for some reason.4/5
6.KELLY KELLY VS ALICIA FOX VS GAIL KIM VS BETH PHOENIX-not too much going on here as usual since most of the "divas" cannot put on good matches like they do in TNA. Still it is ok I guess since I am a huge Beth Phoenix fan although Gail gets the win, Beth needs to go to TNA.2.5/5
7.CHRIS JERICHO VS MVP-another good match up with two talented guys going at it with a nice pace. Although not a classic it is still a welcome addition to the set with MVP taking one half of the tag champs in Chris Jericho. Good action in this one much like the others with Jericho ending it with a code breaker.4/5
8.[US TITLE] KOFI KINGSTON VS THE MIZ VS JACK SWAGGER VS CARLITO-this one features four of the younger stars going at it with everything. All four of these guys are great and yes that includes The Miz. All of them deliver high spots and their finishers and give great performances. Still it is Kofi that walks out the victory in this fast paced and short match.4.5/5
DISC 3
1.[BODY SLAM CONTEST] BIG SHOW VS MARK HENRY-the first match on this set is really just a contest. This one happens to pit two big guys against each other in a body slamming contest. So the action has to be short which it is with Henry coming out on top.3.5/5
2.[NO HOLDS BARRED] RANDY ORTON VS BATISTA-this match is the homecoming of Batista who wants some revenge on Orton, the man who injured him. The match is pretty good and features John Cena keeping Randy in the match. Batista controls the match and gets the victory over the Legend Killer. A lot of brawling and power moves were used in this match, just the way Batista likes it.3.5/5
3.DX VS CHRIS JERICHO & BIG SHOW-next up we have the greatest group ever DX taking on Jericho and Big Show. The match is another good choice for the collection with both teams wanting the victory. Show and Jericho control a lot of the match and even almost end it. But after DX takes Show out Jericho is left to fend for himself and feels some sweet chin music.4/5
4.JOHN CENA VS TRIPLE H-one of the longer matches on the set features Cena taking on the other member of DX Triple H. this is one of Cena's better matches with my favorite part being when he tricks Hunter into going for his leg. Good back and forth action that sees Triple H get the victory.4/5
5.CHRIS JERICO VS KOFI KINGSTON-another excellent addition to the set with great action from two of the best in the biz as of now. Jericho will go down as one of the best ever and Kofi is an excellent talent who is on his way. The action is great with a ton of high spots from both, but Kofi pulls off the win.5/5
6.CHAVO GUERRERO VS SANTINO MARELLA-just like anything that involves Santino this is classic for sure. The opening with all the jerseys is great and the match is short but sweet. Santino goes home a winner regardless of how he got it.5/5
7.DX VS JERI SHOW VS JOHN CENA & UNDERTAKER-excellent match right here with six of the all time best. I could care less what anybody else says I love this match and all the back and forth things between all of them. There is a lot of fast paced action going on in this one with every one getting in on the fight. The ending of this one is great with Cena and Taker taking it, but watch for the tombstone.5/5
8.CM PUNK VS JOHN CENA-Cena and Punk get after it in this match up just one day after Cena was in a war with DX. This match is also another worthy addition to the set and features one of the best "attitude adjustments" to date. A lot of good action in this one with Punk looking like he was going to get the victory. But it was not meant to be with Cena getting the w.5/5
9.JOHN CENA VS RANDY ORTON-the final match of the set is a classic battle between two familiar foes. Randy and John go at it tooth and nail if I may bring that back for a second. Sure this is not their best match together but it is a good one for this collection. The action in this one like the rest is great with Cena getting the win, great set.4/5
This has got to be considered a good set even though it could have been so much more. A lot of great moments have happened over the past year and some for some reason did not make this set. Still there is enough here that anyone who is a casual fan should love this set. Any hardcore fans out there may be a bit disappointed but I found it to be entertaining. I hope they do this every year and release previous years as well. Also I hope Smackdown and ECW sets are on the way.

(More customer reviews)It's amazing how a simple concept for a match (climb up a ladder & grab the belt) has spawn so many memorable moments in the history of professional wrestling and WWE picked out a wonderful collection of matches here to illistrate how the ladder match has spawn off so many memorable to classic moments in wrestling & was also the catalist for so many versions of this match including TLC, Stairway To Hell in ECW, and King Of The Mountain in TNA.
North American Champion Jake Roberts vs. Big Daddy Ritter (Junkyard Dog) - This was joined in progress and it was using a one sided ladder with the referees holding it steady while the wrestlers climbed up. Nothing special past the historical factor.
Stampede Wrestling '79
Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels - Eventhough many remember WrestleMania X to be the first Ladder Match, this was truely the first one. For this match being the first of it's kind in WWE at the time, it's really something to see with how the ladder was used at times along with the "X" factor of Sherri getting involved at times.

Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon - I'm glad they put this one on here instead of their WrestleMania X one since most people forgot about it. This match was completely different than their previous on in that they didn't use the ladder as a weapon while both men knew each other so well that they were able to avoid each other's signature moves throughout the match. This one won't disappoint and if you want an idea of how comical WWF was back in '95, watch the HBK intro when they have a guy trying to sell you his merchandise at ringside (ala Home Shopping Network).

Intercontinental Champion The Rock vs. Triple H - Eventhough Undertaker/Austin was the main event, this was the match that stole the show. HHH was selling a knee injury that he got earlier in the night while the Rock was just ruthless here with both Chyna & Mark Henry getting involved here. This was the highlight match of both men's career before they would go on to each win the World Title.

Edge & Christian vs. New Brood (Hardy Boyz) - This was the match that put both teams on the map that would eventually plant the seeds for the future series of ladder/TLC matches featuring various members. Since this was the first tag team ladder match, it was non-stop action & never a dull moment.

(Hardy Boys: Leap Of Faith, Edge: Decade Of Decadance)
TLC Match: WWE Tag Team Champions Edge & Christian vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz - The first TLC match and this was the one that topped their WrestleMania match months earlier. Again, this is one of those matches that I can't describe in words that you just have to watch.

Shannon Moore & Shane Helms vs. Jamie Noble & Evan Karagis vs. Kaz Hayashi & Jimmy Yang - If you only know these guys from their runs in WWE then you don't know what your missing. This match was the match of the night at that PPV as it was the crusierweight division that was saving the WCW product at that time. It wasn't as crazy as the TLC matches in WWE but these guys put on one hell of a performance.

Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho - They took from brutal bumps & the chairshot delievered when Benoit went though the ropes was "hardcore" to say the least & is a classic in quality.
Royal Rumble '01
TLC Match: WWE Tag Team Champions Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian - TLC II followed the same patterns as their pervious matches with the exception this time being the involvement of Lita, Rhyno, and Spike Dudley. This match has the highlight reel of Edge (off the top of the ladder) spearing Jeff Hardy (who was hanging from the belt hooks) all the way to the floor that WWE still uses in some promotional videos today.

(Hardy Boyz: Leap Of Faith)
TLC Match: WWE Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian - This match is known as the "forgotten TLC" for various reasons such as Edge not acknowling this match when he kept saying "I never lost a TLC match." Jericho & Benoit pulled off some spots not seen in the previous ones such as a headbutt off the top of a ladder though a table that led to his eventual neck surgery.

Intercontinental Champion Christian vs. Edge - With both men having so much experience in a ladder match with each other, this match certainly had it's moments when they went against each other. The ladder here was used as a weapon various times along with making a regular move more impactful. This had it's various moments like Christian getting crotched & later being snapped off the top rope onto the ladder, both falling off the ladder onto the floor, and Edge getting his reciepts on all the acts Christian did to him over the past two months.
No Mercy '01
Intercontinental Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. Rob Van Dam - This match had a style of both of them using the ladder to make their normal moves more high impactful with Eddie heavily dominating while constantly targeting RVD's face. These was very intense and was without a doubt one of the best matches on WWE TV for that year.

(Eddie Guerrero: Cheating Death, Stealing Life)
WWE Undisputed Champion Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy - The story behind this match was Undertaker just delivering a beating to Jeff Hardy who just refused to quit & give up...to the point where Taker just had to do what he had to do after the match.
"RAW" July '02
TLC Match: World Tag Team Champion Kane vs. Rob Van Dam & Jeff Hardy vs. Bubba & Spike Dudley vs. Chris Jericho & Christian - They advertise Hurricane for this match but he wasn't in it. High spots all over the place along with high impact moves to the point to where Bubba Ray suffered such a concussion that he doesn't remember the match to this day.
"RAW" Oct. '02
(RAW: 10th Anniversary DVD)
Intercontinental Championship Match: Chris Jericho vs. Christian - These two were feuding with each other for months over Trish Stratus but after going through regular matches, handicap matches, and cage matches (where Christian injured his back & was out of action for months) they settled their score in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship after Edge had to forfit the title due to injury. This match was more about trying to tell a story throughout the match instead of doing a bunch of "highspots" & turned out to be a great match.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shelton Benjamin Kane vs. Edge vs. Christian - I was here LIVE & to quote Joey Styles "OH MY GOD!" The showstealer here though was Shelton Benjamin as he looked like Spiderman with the majority of the moves he was pulling off involving the ladders. As a side note, watch Kane's intro because that was something to see with the ladders on fire.
WrestleMania 21
Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero - It was a great ladder match eventhough the storyline got stupid with the whole "Dominic is my son" thing going on (well, it did result in the "I'm Your Papi" shirt so I guess it's not all bad). Lots of interference from Vicki Guerrero & Dominic himself but it didn't ruin the match itself.

Loser Leaves RAW Match: Matt Hardy vs. Edge - The final encounter between these two in this very personal feud against each other and as you expected, this was a fight with weapons like a table also getting involved here while Lita played a big role in this match from beginning to end. This doesn't live up to the previous ladder matches these two have had but it was still good. "RAW" Oct. '05
TLC Match: WWE Champion Edge vs. Ric Flair - At this stage in Flair's career, this was a completely new enviroment for him as this was his very first ladder match with his daughter at ringside. This match was more about "how can Flair take this punishment as his age" than anything else as Edge targeted Flair's head after he suffered the concussion the week before resulting in his entire face being the classic "crimson mask". Flair gave out the much punishment here as well as he recieved it & this was a very impressive performance from Ric Flair in this being his first time doing this type of match.
"RAW" Jan. '06
WWE Champion Edge vs. John Cena - Cena was of course booed out the building due to the fact they were in Edge's hometown but that's when Cena is at his best (remember One Night Stand). Again, both men brought their A game & resulted in a great main event with plenty of highlight moments including the final "F-U" to Edge towards the end.

(John Cena: My Life)
Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy - This was the match for me that put Nitro on the map as a "superstar of the future" as he was able to hold his own & surpass the previous RAW ladder matches with the ladder match veteran in Jeff Hardy. This was just another match in their great series of matches but look out for the swanton on the ladder by Jeff Hardy.

WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. William Regal & Dave Taylor vs. MNM vs. The Hardys - We all know what the Hardys & MNM can do based on their past so mix that with the daredevil style London & Kendrick adapted along with the fact that Regal & Taylor didn't look out of place with their mat wrestling style as well. WWE WrestleMania 24 (2008) Review

Although my hopes weren't too high for this years "Showcase of the Immortals" as the build up wasn't very well done in my oppinion, for a Wrestlemania anyway. Was it a good PPV? Answer: Yes, it was a BRILLIANT PPV! A good Wrestlemania? Well, for the most part, yes. A solid 4.5/5 in my oppinion. Now let's have a look at the matches while staying completely spoiler free.
John "Bradshaw" Layfield VS Finlay (w/Hornswoggle) in a Belfast Brawl
-It seemed suitable to open the show with this match as I always had fears the fans interest would wan during it. JBL is quite boring in the ring, and while I love Finlay as a wrestler, he isn't completely "over" yet. So I feared this match would be met with silence. Opening the show prevented that as it meant everything was freash for the fans. Unfortunately the match sucked. After the most build up out of any match (It dated all the way back to last year and the whole "Who is Vince's son?" angle), the most emotional storyline... we got, well we got nothing really. The "brawl" was nothing. Finlay's emotion leading up to WM was wasted. The match completely failed it's purpose.
CM Punk VS Shelton Benjamin VS Chris Jericho VS Carlito VS Montel Vontavious Porter VS Mr. Kennedy VS John Morrison in a Money in the Bank ladder match
-Good bump showcase. Not as good a match as previous years, but some awesome bumps. Seemed a bit unorganized though. Still, the winner truly deserved it, even if he was underused in the match. Shelton takes a bloody killer bump. I shared the same expression Carlito wears when it happened.

Umaga VS Batista
-This match didn't stand out at all. I don't think it was expected to though. Easily could've been done on a usual PPV or RAW/SD. Not WM worthy.
Kane VS Chavo Guerrero to win the ECW Championship
-Really, there was no one else that would've won this. And it's revealed early in the night so I don't consider it a spoiler. Kinda odd they didn't show the hyped on TV battle royal, but then again, WWE doesn't make sense often. Quick match, pretty pointless.
Ric Flair VS HBK in a career threatening match
-What an emotional match. Longtime wrestling fans are sure to be overcome with emotional during this match. A fantastic story is told in the ring, backed up solid ringwork. Besides the Money in the bank, this is the only other match so far that has had that unique WM feel.Beth Phoenix and Melina VS Maria and Ashley in a Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjill match
Lumberjills: Cherry, Eve Torres, Michelle McCool, Victoria, Mickie James, Jillian Hall, Katie Lea Burchill, Kelly Kelly, Layla and Maryse.
-I took a toilet break at the start of the match as I knew this match would be crap. A boring match made worse by a mishap during the match. Only worth watching for Snoop Dogg's entertainment. He's one cool cat.
HHH VS Randy Orton VS John Cena in a Triple Threat match to retain the WWE Championship
-The match was, alright. Didn't really tickle my fancy but I can see some people really enjoying it. Just fast forward John Cena's entrance... it's some goofy marching band entrance. Ergh! The end is quite unexpected and was well done.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. VS The Big Show in a No Disqualification match
-This match was way better than I expected. Slow, but it had a big feeling to it. Which I found impressive, that they gained that bigtime feeling. A real shocking ending. Pure wrestling fans will despise it, but it's more entertaining than expected.
The Undertaker VS Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship
-THIS is what Wrestlemania is about! What a main event! It had the big feeling to it and truly gave off the feeling anything can happen. The false finishes, reversals, everything was done beautifully. This match saved the show from being a 3 star Mania, to making it a 4-4.5 star mania!
As for the promo's and backstage segments... they were alright. Some entertaining ones. They all pretty much added to the WM feeling.
...Also, it looked SPECTACULAR in High-Def!!!
If possiable it should be watched in HD!
Every current wrestling fan should watch this, to see what the Mania "feeling" is. Because by the main event, the show is oozing that bigtime feel. Past fans... watch it for the classic Flair/HBK match and Edge/Taker match (Both 4- 4.5 star matches in my oppinion). Plus you get several good 3- 4 star matches. Skip the belfast brawl (which could've been good, considering the 2 wrestlers are excellent brawlers) and the Diva match.
The DVD/Blu-ray should also come with the Hall of Fame ceremony which makes this a worthy buy as we see the end of an era.
4- 4.5/5 Stars.

The new DX focusses only on the reuniting of HHH and HBK last year and each and every clip they did in their fueds with the Spirit Squad, the McMahons, and Rated RKO. Sure some moments are really funny and the matches they chose are pretty much entertaining to see, do not buy this if you are a long time fan or have collected the monthly ppvs on dvd like I have for the past year beause you are pretty much spending money to get the same footage all over again. This match is great and very fast paced. I didn't think that it was worthy of being the opener. Great spots in this match like Benjamin doing a dive off the ladder on to everyone, kofi getting world strongest slammed on a ladder, hornswoggle doing the tad pole splash on everyone, christian saving himself and the ladder, and a huge cokeslam off the ladder. The wrong man won though later cashing in his money in the bank and screwing Jeff Hardy. This match also includes a lot of highflying moments and ladder use.

This match is pretty good. It could have been better, but still good. I didn't like the stipulation to this match(elimination) Not very good with jericho winning. But great moment when jericho got punched by Mickey Rourke.

Jeff hardy vs. Matt Hardy-Extreme rules
Great match here. A good use of weapons in this mach like a, trash can, vacuum cleaner, tables, chairs, ladders, creches, Kendo sticks, and a wm 25 poster. What a moment when Jeff missed a leg drop off a 16 ft, also, if you look closely, you can see Jeff go through the ring some. Also, awesome moment when Jeff dived off the top rope and made Matt go through tables. A very sick ending.

JBL vs. Rey Mysterio-Intercontinental Championship
This match is a total waste and is just a filler. This match is only 21 seconds, and was dominated by JBL before the match was even started, and mysterio finally wins the intercontinental title. Great moment when JBLOSER quit. FINALLY!!!!! No more blubber.

Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
I hope you can say the word classic because that is what this match is. This match is fast paced through the entire match and is never boring, and was like all their other matches, really good, except this was a classic. This match totally deserved to be the main event, but sadly wasn't. This match is defanatly match of the night and match of the year. I really liked the buildup for this and that these two had a very good rivalry going. Great moments when Shawn missed the moonsaulet, and when undertaker dived on a camera man. I loved that the streak continues to 17-0. Awesome moment when taker kicked out of the sweet chin music and michaels kicked out of the tombstone. Best moment in the match when taker countered the moonsaulet into the tombstone for the win. This match is very entertaining and is one of the best WWE and Wrestlemania matches ever. It is also the second longest Mania' match ever.

John Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show-World Heavyweight Championship
Good match, but a little short for a triple threat, but still good. This match was surprisingly brutal with Cena pulling off the win with a attitude adjustment on big slow and edge. Also, great moment in the match when edge made big slow go through the barricade. Also, who can forget the super human effort by cena when he picked up slow and edge on his shoulders. Good triple threat here.

Triple H vs. Randy Orton-WWE Championship
I don't have much to say about this match it is so stupid. This match is almost watchable, but not very good. This is more like a brawl than a match and didn't deserve to be the main event. I like how hhh kicked orton in the skull and hit him with the sledge hammer when the ref was down and got the pedigree for the win to retain. The only good thing about this match was the orton goes too far and eliminates the McMahon factor buildup.

WWE WrestleMania 21 (2005) Review

(More customer reviews)WM 19 didn't have it, WM 20 didn't have it, but last night, in front of 21,000 plus fans, John Cena and Batista defeated JBL and HHH to become champs of their own brands. This was an awsome ppv, the crowd was electric all night and the matches, several especially were worth it [Except the sumo match in my opinion]
Eddie Guerreroe vs. Rey Mysterio: What a great way to kick off the show, two of the best Latino wrestlers in WWE history use high flying and fast paced action to start it off. Rey wins again and Eddie shows a little teasing of turning on Rey, but then shakes his hand in a great match. 8.5/10
Edge vs Kane vs Benoit vs Jericho vs Christian vs. Shelton B.
Ladder Match
#1 contendership:
Wow, wow, wow. Just a famous match that people will remember for years to come. The things these guys did to each other took guts and preserverance. Shelton giving Edge the T-Bone suplex off a ladder, Benoit giving Kane a headbutt off a ladder.
Shelton running up the side of a ladder that was laying on another ladder to throw Jericho off was phenominal. Then Edge and Christian gave a modified conchairto to Kane with ladders, followed by Shelton jumping out of the ring to land on at least 5 other guys, Tomko included.
Edge wins after hitting Benoit with a chair and taking him out. Benoit's arm suffered the most after Kane gave him several arm crunches with a ladder on it. Truly a great match. 10/10
Randy Orton vs. Undertaker
Legend vs. Legend Killer.
Its official, 13-0 is now the new record that the Undertaker has. A great match again, with Randy reversing a chokeslam into a RKO, then his dad interfering, but the Undertaker prevailing was a great exciting match.
I saw a lot of signs that said 12-1 over the past few weeks, but let me just say no one can beat the Undertaker at a WM, just get used to that! 9/10
Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme
Women's championship:
I can't say this was great, but props to Christy to actually going out there with not much experience in front of millions of people and actually trying to be good. As you could tell, Trish wins to continue her streak.
I had a feeling Lita might have been a big factor, but she just mostly glared at Trish the entire time. 6/10
Eugene/Hassan/Hogan segment:
Just to pass the time and give the Hulkster to pump up the crowd. Eugene came out and started talking about his favorite moment [When midgets attacked King Kong Bundy] Then Hassan came out to beat up Eugene and make a WM moment of his own.
Then Hogan to the rescue, cleaning house and posing in front of a televised American flag. Funny, and memorable stuff.
Kurt Angle vs. HBK:
30 minutes of pure enjoyment and captivating action. All the near falls made the crowd shout and yell like crazy. A bad spot when HBK tried to jump on Angle through an announce table, but the table didn't break.
Lots of chain wrestling, near falls, a great sweet chin music by HBK, and a moonsault gone bad, followed by chemistry and drama made this the greatest match on the card!
Other than that, this is definately the match of the year, hell the match of the decade! Angle wins after making HBK tap out, only becoming the third man to make him tap. [The first was Jericho, the second Benoit] 11/10
Piper's Pit
Stone Cold Steve Austin as Guest:
Didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. Some good trading of words by both men, with Piper making fun of the crowd with the what chants. Then Carlito of all people comes out and makes fun of them.
Piper gets beat up by Carlito by about 10 seconds as Austin watched, then Austin and Piper beat up Carlito. They celebrate with beers and then Austin stuns Piper. Some funny stuff, would have made a great Raw also!
Sumo Match: Why, why, WHY was this match on so late in the card? I certainly didn't want to see two big men in practically no clothing fight after one of the greatest one on one matches in history, or after the awsome ladder match. Anyway Akebono wins and Big Show falls to the outside of the ring. 5/10
WWE Championship
JBL vs. John Cena:
The streak is over! We have a new Smackdown champion! The match was also a disappointment, only 15 minutes, maybe even less long. Cena hits the FU out of nowhere and pins JBL. I am not complaining though. Good match, for the ending, not great. 7/10
World Heavyweight Championship
Batista vs. HHH
Motorhead played HHH's music as he entered from a trap door in the stage. Motorhead wasn't as good as they were from WM 17, but the entrance was still cool.
The crowd erupted when Batista won. HHH got busted wide open, Ric Flair got spinebustered, and Batista is the new world champ. About twenty minutes of big man fighting, lots of struggle holds and knocking people down. Batista celebrated as the crowd went crazy. 9/10
This year's WM was definately worth it, especially for the Angle/HBK match, Orton/Undertaker match, the Ladder match, and the two world title matches just for the endings. I can't wait for May 10th!

They also have the highlights of Kurt Angle, Shawn Michales, and the Undertaker. With HBK they showed how his Sweet Chin Music kick can be devastating. With Angle they showed the Ankle lock, and with the Undertaker, they showed all his 12 wins at WM going from 12 to 1 backwards.
The extra Battle Royal is a great thing to add to this DVD. Funny moment when 5 or 6 guys hold down Viscera when Scotty gives him the worm. Heidenreich rips open the padding on the top turnbuckle, and Akio gets face planted on the steel steps after being tossed out of the ring! Booker T wins for Smackdown 8.5/10
They also have when the WWE takes over Hollywood Boulevard with a ring and matches galore. Cena even stops traffic and gets in trouble with the cops. Finally, they have a two and a half hour induction ceremony of the Hall of Fame [But you guys already know that don't ya?]
This is a great DVD to add to your collection.

The cell has definitely shorten and ended not only susperstars's careers but also referees and managers. This 3 disc set shows you the best remembered Hell in the Cell Matches over the past 10 years of it's exsistence. If you have seen the Ladder Match DVD set then you will really love this set as well. This set is just as good as the Ladder Match 3 disc set is.
Mick Foley hosts the presentation and he starts off the program by giving a brief back story on why and how the Hell in a Cell Match came to be. The Hell In A Cell Matches that are not included in this set are Undertaker Vs. Big Bossman from Wrestlemania XV, Kennel in a Cell Match: Al Snow Vs. Big Bossman from Unforgiven 1999, & Undertaker Vs. Edge from SummerSlam 2008.
Bad Blood (October 5, 1997)
Undertaker Vs. European Champion Shawn Michaels - In the HIAC's debut match, Michaels and Undertaker sets the bar for future HIAC matches to come. Undertaker just really dominates HBK for mostly all the match. Once the two made their way out of the cell, Undertaker and Michaels would just fight each other around and on top of the cell. Michaels soon falls from the side of the cage & through the announce table after trying to escape from the Underaker. After Kane makes his debut and Tombstones the Undertaker, HBK becomes victorious in the first Hell In A Cell Match. This match is something to see if already haven't. 5/5
Raw (June 15, 1998)
Kane & Mankind w/ Paul Bearer Vs. WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin & Undertaker - This was more of a segment than anything else. Stone Cold leads Mankind and Kane outside the cell to leave the Undertaker and Paul Bearer all alone inside the locked structure. Inside the locked structure, Undertaker just beats the holy hell out of a bloody Paul Bearer while leaving Stone Cold fighting Kane and Mankind on the outside. Kane trys to climb the cell to get in before Austin meets him up there. They do not show us the after math once Raw went off the air and it aint really worth rating.
King Of The Ring (June 28, 1998)
Undertaker Vs. Mankind - This is probably the most known and memorable Hell in a Cell match of all-time and mainly because of Mankind being thrown off the cell. After being chokeslammed and thrown off the cell, Mankind and Undertaker delivers a pretty brutal match. Thumb tacks, steel steps, and chairs all gets involved. After being chokslammed onto thumb tacks, Undertaker Tombstones Mankind to pick up his first ever Hell In A Cell victory. Foley certainly gets a well deserved standing ovation after the match. 5/5
Raw (August 24, 1998)
Mankind Vs. Kane - Just like the match from King Of The Ring, Kane and Mankind starts this match off on the outside where Foley gets beaten up by both Kane and the Undertaker and also falls from the cell through the announce table. Kane and Mankind both takes some hard chair shots to the head. Thumb tacks also gets brought into this match. After Stone Cold Steve Austin interferes from under the ring, the match gets stopped. A match that's worth a watch. 4/5
No Way Out (February 27, 2000)
WWE Champion Triple H Vs. Cactus Jack - Not only was this match for HHH's WWE Title but Mick Foley's career was also in jeopardy if Mick Foley lost this match. The match itself was just as brutal and punishable as Foley's & HHH's Street Fight was from the Royal Rumble a month earlier. After Foley and the Game got out of the cell, the match would only get more violent around and on top of the cell. After once again falling from the cell and through the announce table, Foley brings out his famous barbed wire 2x4 and sets it on fire. After setting the 2x4 on fire, Foley gets backdropped through the cell and crashes through the ring followed by a Pedigree from HHH. Just like from the KOTR, Mick Foley gets a well deserved ovation after the match. And for the trivia buffs out there this is the first Hell in a Cell match where a WWE Title was defended in. 5/5
Armageddon (December 20, 2000)
Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. WWE Champion Kurt Angle Vs. Triple H Vs. The Rock Vs. Rikishi Vs. The Undertaker - This has to be the wildest, craziest, & most action packed HIAC match of all time. There is action everywhere in this match. McMahon comes out and frees everybody from the cell and then all hell breaks loose everywhere. We even see a Wrestlemania X-Seven preview from Austin and the Rock. This was just a huge and tremendous match. Awesome Hell in a Cell match. 5/5
Judgment Day (May 19, 2002)
Triple H Vs. Chris Jericho - HHH and Jericho by far made up for their lousy match they had at Wrestlemania X8. Jericho takes one of the most brutal beatings ever inside a Hell in the Cell Match. Jericho tried to be tough but I think the cell got to him in this match. A ladder gets briefly used along with a steel chair, ring steps, & a sledgehammer. After being let loose, Triple H & Jericho battles all around the cell and soon make their way on top where HHH brings up with him a barbed wire 2x4. The match ends on top of the cell after Jericho gets Pedigreed by HHH. Watch out for Tim White getting up close and personal to the cell. 4.5/5
No Mercy (October 20, 2002)
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar Vs. Undertaker - Get ready to see a bloodbath because that is exactly what this HIAC Match is. Undertaker & Brock Lesnar shows everybody how violent & sedistic a Hell in the Cell Match can be. Just as brutal and sedistic fighting only inside the cell and not out. Undertaker bleed buckets in this match. Lesnar & Undertaker both uses the cell and other things around them very effectively on each other. Possibably the best Hell In A Cell Match in history. 5/5
Bad Blood (June 15, 2003)
Kevin Nash Vs. World Heavyweight Champion Triple H - Kevin Nash wasn't really getting over with the fans as WWE thought he would so they brought in Mick Foley to be the Special Guest Referee for this HIAC match. This isn't as bad as people say it is. I felt this HIAC is very violent and brutal. All men bleeds in this one including Foley. Not the best Hell in a Cell Match but definitely not the worst. 4/5
Bad Blood (June 13, 2004)
Triple H Vs. Shawn Michaels - You better get ready to take a deep seat because Michaels and HHH tears each other to shreds for nearly one hour in the sedistic Hell In a Cell. HBK and HHH both takes a lot of punishment and a bloody beating from each other. This was a fantastic way to end this feud. Arguably the best Hell in a Cell match ever. This match was just off the charts. 5/5
Vengeance (June 26, 2005)
World Heavyweight Champion Batista Vs. Triple H - HHH and Batista told anincredible story here in this HIAC match. HHH is a guy that brings out the best in Batista and HHH did an fantastic job here in doing so. Everything you expect in a Hell in the Cell match and more takes place. Batista gets very physical in this match. He uses everything HHH brings out against him and more. This is a sedistic match where HHH has to take time off from afterwards. This HIAC match could also be the best ever. 5/5
Armageddon (December 18, 2005)
Undertaker Vs. Randy Orton - Other reviewers point out that this HIAC match resembles more of a No Holds Barred than a true Hell in the Cell Match but I disagree with that. Undertaker and Orton provided the fans a sedistic and a very harsh match to watch. A lot of physicality is apart of this HIAC match. Orton pulls off some impressive counters to the Undertaker. Orton also takes one of the most vicious beatings from the Deadman along with two of the most hardest steel chair shots I have ever seen. A table gets introduced as well and so does some steel steps in this match. The interference from Bob Orton wasn't really needed but I felt this Hell in a Cell match was great. Another big time HIAC match. 5/5
Unforgiven (September 17, 2006)
Triple H & Shawn Michaels Vs. Vince, Shane McMahon, & ECW Champion Big Show - A new Hell In A Cell structure was introduced for this match. Great usage with the cell and the weapons that were used such as a sledgehammer & steel chairs are used very effectively in this HIAC match. It has a vicious and sickening ending with HHH breaking a sledgehammer on the back on Mr. McMahon. This is another hellacious match. 5/5
Survivor Series (November 18, 2007)
Undertaker Vs. World Heavyweight Champion Batista - The new amplified version of the Hell In A Cell continued here as the Undertaker & Batista ended their nealry year long feud. Undertaker is another guy that brings out the best in Batista and this was a tremendous match. Not a whole lot of weapons used but the ones that were, Undertaker & Batista uses them very effectively. They could have used the cell more but it was still good. The ending and the post-match beat down from Edge is something to check out and it really added more to the match. 5/5
Hell In A Cell is called the Devil's Structure and every match from this set displays why. This is an awesome set to add to your collection and is HIGHLY recommended.

The first official match was a No Holds Barred match as voted in by WWE fans between Rey Mysterio and Kane.This was a very entertaining match and Rey shows everybody escpecially Kane how he is not dead.Rey wins.7 out of 10.
The second match was for the ECW Championship between the champ Matt Hardy and as voted in by the WWE fans Evan Bourne.A great match no one knew who was going to win but the experience difference took part in the decison.Matt Hardy wins and retains the ECW title.Matt after the match said that anytime Evan wants a rematch he has it.But that wont be happening soon because Evan is out with an injury.Great match.7.8 out of 10.
The third match as voted by the WWE fans Miz and Morrison vs Cryme Tyme.I didn't care for this.Miz and Morrison win.6 out of 10.
The fourth match was between Santino and as voted in by the WWE fans the Honky Tonk Man for the Intercontinental Championship.Stupid match.Honky wins by disqualification.3 out of 10.
The fifth match was between The Undertaker and Big Show in a Last Man Standing match as voted in by the WWE fans.A great match.There were spots where I thought 'Taker was done for but he came back and won.8 out of 10.
The sixth match was Triple H faced off against whoever the WWE fans chose with that man being Jeff Hardy for the WWE Championship.A great match.There were spots where I thought Jeff was going to win but once again he is one step away.Very good match.8 out of 10.
The seventh match and the main event was between Chris Jericho and 'The Animal' Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship with the special referee being Stone Cold Steve Austin as voted in by the WWE fans.It was a fun match to watch with the other referee choices getting involved but Batista was able to beat Jericho even though Jericho hit Batista with the World Title belt.Batista finally wins the World Heavyweight Championship he has tried to win back for almost a year.A stellar main event.8.5 out of 10.
This years Cyber Sunday is by far the best one yet.Every match was decided by the WWE fans whether it was opponents,match types,or special guest referee this event lives up to its expectations.8 out of 10 overall.

WWE: Bragging Rights 2009 (2009) Review

(More customer reviews)John Morrison (SmackDown) vs. The Miz (RAW) - The former World & WWE Tag Team Champions, former host of "The Dirt Sheet", and the holders of the top midcard titles (I.C. for Morrison & U.S. for Miz) finally clash here in their first singles meeting since being split up as a team back in April when Miz turned on Morrison after being drafted to RAW. No pun intended but this was "total nonstop action" as both men went back & forth here with Morrison showcasing his high flyin' style while Miz was more grounded but also very aggressive while using few heel tactics here & there. The only bad note I can say here is that the ending looked a little weak to me but a great way to start the show.
Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly (RAW) vs. Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Natayla (SmackDown) - Normally when you get a multi-diva tag match, it's full of botches or they just stick to the wrestlers doing most of the work with the other pretty faces just getting a move in. However this one is a standout out of the past few matches on PPV because just like the first match, it continued to be fast paced action while everyone put in a good "botchless" effort from everyone. It should also be noted that there was some good foreshadowing of things to come from the SD team with Beth Phoenix dominating before McCool would make the blind tag to take over & be a glory hog with Beth returning the favor later.
World Champion Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Batista vs. C.M. Punk - No different than the previous two matches, this was another quick fast paced one (as usually these multiman type of matches are) that had it's various moments like Taker tossing Punk over the top rope with Rey sitting a sitdown splash on Punk right afterwards on the floor with Mysterio again taking advantage of a situation by hitting another splash on Taker after a superplex with C.M. Punk. The main story here though was Batista & Rey Mysterio working together as a team thoughout the match only for Rey to break up Batista's pin at one point leading to what happened after the match between Rey & Batista that started with the words "I can't believe my best friend stabbed me in the back...I'm gonna rip your head off."
D-Generation X, Big Show, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston (RAW) vs. Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, Finlay, R-Truth, Hart Dynasty (SmackDown) - The final match to determine who gets the Bragging Rights trophy however this match heavily resembled what I classified as multi-diva matches earlier in that only certain people work the matches while others just come in to get a spot in before being forgotten about. This was a good match that had some moments like Finlay & Shawn facing off (I think for the first time) and literally "butting heads" while old rivals fought again at various times (Hardy with Henry & Swagger along with Kane & Big Show). I'll say that it was creative how everything that happened in the ending would set up various angles following the match but overall, this match was a bit of a disappointment for me.
Falls Count Anywhere Ironman Match: WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena - The final encounter (or so they say) between these two who have been going at it on & off for the past two years for an entire hour and there was a special stipulation in that there was a one minute rest period between each fall. This was different than their typical matches in that knowing they are going for a complete hour, both men were more cautious as shown early when Orton tapping out very quickly the moment he got caught to avoid long term damage. Cena was bleeding at one point (and they tried to stop the clock to tend to the cut) but didn't stop & continued the match until the next fall as they tended to the cut during the rest period. There were some other standout moments like the "Attitude Adjustment" being countered into the RKO, the appearence of Legacy & Kofi Kingston, Orton trying to use the stage pyro against Cena, the fight through the crowd, tables & chairs & the steel steps being used, and Cena executing one of the most aggressive versions of the "STF" that I've seen from him. I've always said that Cena is at his best when he's in these "hardcore" type of matches & Orton definately held more than his own here in this match.
In the end, this was one of those PPV's that didn't have a bad match on it with the only negative thing I can say is that with the main match behind this "brand war" concept was a disappointment. Overall, this is definately one worth checking out.

(More customer reviews)I give this ppv a solid A. The crowd was into it the whole night which always makes it better and the matches were awesome. Best thing about this ppv...it was hard too predict with how the matches turned out.
The first chamber match was the better one in my opinion. Undertaker, HHH and Jeff Hardy put on awesome performances. Kozlov was okay and big show was pretty good. Edge...well he was eliminated in like 4 mins which i don't think any one saw coming because it has always come down to the champ and someone else. Great spots though, great back n fourth wrestling, and it coming down to HHH and Undertaker made the match that much better. Actual match lasted like 37 mins as well. 10/10 2nd best chamber match of all time
Orton vs. Shane was a very brutal match-up. They slowly beat the living h*ll out of each other and there were plenty of spots. Orton's cut was just nasty and it played to his sick character really well. Shane going from the coast to coast to the flying elbow drop was just awesome. I have never seen anyone go from a big spot to another with in about 30 seconds. Great Match with no disappointment's...except Orton winning. 10/10
Swagger vs. Finlay was decent. Some good old school wrestling but the problem was...this match followed a chamber match and a no holds barred match that both lived up to the hype soooo this match in some ways was boring. Should of been first or 2nd or mayb just not on the card. 6.5/10
JBL vs. HBK was put together very well. There is a couple times when it seemed like HBK might just lose. HBK's wife being ringside though sitting there crying really made the match that much better. The sweet chin music that HBK hits JBL with was justas beautiful as always. Good match, very entertaining and HBK wins. 8/10
There's a lot to say about this match, first of all Edge takes Kingston's place after beating him down, Mysterio surprisingly eliminates Kane, then Y2J eliminates Knox, then here comes edge who puts on a good show with Mysterio and Y2J and then good old 8 to 9 move Cena comes in, beats the h*ll out of edge and then right when he was going to hit the F-U, Y2J hits the codebreaker which leads to the 619 and then a spear and then...guess what, Cena is gone. So guaranteed new champ. Mysterio eliminates Y2J after rolling out of the Walls of Jericho and then this is when it gets very exciting. Mysterio in my mind was MVP of last night with all his spots he pulled off. He came so close to winning on about 4 pinfalls but once he ran to Edge and was thrown into the bulletproof glass...that is when it was all said and done. Edge the n hits the spear and the guy who lost title then won another.
Overall this was a great ppv and the road to Wrestlemania is so fat very good. Be interesting to see what the two title matches are now that Edge and HHH are the guys to beat!

WWE: Survivor Series 2008 (2008) Review

I feel bad enough for everyone in the crowd and everyone else who paid to see this on PPV. Hell, I didn't pay for it and I feel bad for myself just for watching it! I almost don't even want to review this garbage but let's get on with it. Matches are rated out of 5 stars (*****).
1. Traditional Survivor Series Match
Team HBK (HBK, Mysterio, Cryme Tyme, & Khali)
VS.
Team JBL (JBL, Kane, Miz and Morrison, & MVP)
Pretty solid opener. Crowd was into this match. Very predictable ending and I felt like this could have been a lot better. I figured for sure Michaels and Morrison would be the last two going at it for their respective teams, which could have been really good, but it didn't turn out that way. Still a pretty good match, but relatively uneventful. **1/2
2. Traditional Survivor Series Match
Team Raw (Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice, & Jillian Hall)
vs.
Team SmackDown! (Michelle McCool, Natayla, Maryse, Maria, & Victoria)
Botchfest of a match, truly terrible. There were some moments of decent action but they didn't last very long at all. 1/2*
3. Casket Match
Big Show vs. Undertaker
This was an awful match. I haven't seen a match with this little energy/charisma in a long while (well probably not that long considering the current state of the product but you get the idea). There was a nice table spot, and that's the only thing keeping this from being a DUD, it is that bad. I thought this would be pretty good, as I enjoyed their previous two encounters, but this was atrocious. 1/2*
4. Traditional Survivor Series Match
Team Batista (Batista, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Matt Hardy, & R-Truth)
vs.
Team Orton (Orton, Cody Rhodes, Shelton Benjamin, Regal, & Mark Henry)
Good match, match of the night. I quite enjoyed this one. There were some slow parts but for the most part there was good action all around. I loved the finish and it was nice to see Orton and Rhodes the survivors. ***1/4
5. WWE Championship
Triple H (c) vs. Kozlov (vs. Edge vs. Jeff Hardy? I guess)
Oh my holy good lord this was absolutely shockingly poor. I can safely say this was the worst match I have seen all year. The crowd rightfully defecated all over this one, and when they got tired of chanting "boring, we want hardy, and TNA," they just stopped making any noise whatsoever (can we blame them?). I wouldn't be surprised if Kozlov is dropped from the storyline completely after this one, he may have killed his career. After 12 minutes of wrestling so bad you'd have to see it to believe it, Vickie comes out and says "he's back," of course alluding to Edge, who comes out, soon to be followed by Jeff Hardy. Edge goes on to win the title in what has to be considered one of the worst WWE Championship matches in history. Don't get me wrong, I love Edge as champ, but this was a disgraceful match that makes me want to vomit just thinking about it. This gets my first ever minus rating. - **
6. World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Jericho (c) vs. John Cena
Solid match, nothing even remotely close to their match at SummerSlam 2005 or their loser leaves Raw match the following night. Very slow, lots of rest holds, but the action picked up a bit by the end. Not a bad match, but not at all what you'd expect as a fan. Cena was obviously lacking and barely did anything in this match, and I give Jericho all the credit in the world for making this match decent. Had edge not won the title the match before, I would have never watched WWE again after the finish to this match, it made me that angry. This was as predictable a match as you can get: Cena got beat, he got beat, he got beat, he got beat, he got beat, he got beat, he got beat, he got beat, 5 moves of doom, match over. The announcers, by the way, didn't even seem to care when he won. Seriously, I am not kidding. On a side note the announcing for the show as a whole was of a caliber so uninspiring and uninteresting I felt like I was watching Barney and Friends. Anyway, ok match, ending made me sick. As Michael Cole said, "the champ is back." Just what we all wanted (or at least what those morons in WWE creative thought we all wanted). **3/4
This show was absolutely terrible, and I never ever want to see it EVER again. The only show from WWE in the past 4 years that has been worse than this is WWE Royal Rumble 2006. It seems as though WWE tried making up for this disgrace of a wrestling show by making it newsworthy and relevant with the two title changes, but we weren't fooled. Take my word for it, avoid this show like you would a deadly disease. If you watch it you may never be able to enjoy WWE again. I know as a lifelong fan I feel like I've been punched in the stomach.
