(More customer reviews)First off, let me say that anyone looking for the Kids In the Hall's answer to "Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl" will be sorely disappointed. This is more of a backstage documentary, though some live concert sketches are included (only a few full scenes, mostly segments). The audio was not taken from the theatre's sound boards, so it is a bit dodgy at times, though always audible. You want to pick up this DVD for a glance at the Kids' actual personalities and how they interact as a group. And it is fascinating as such, with as much insight as one could cram into 90 min. (obviously, you will not come away knowing the boys backwards and forwards). Also, don't expect a laugh riot - when offstage, they five are not always "on" and cutting up. Indeed, it's far more interesting to hear them discuss business and their methodology than simply trying to be funny constantly. Though, the commentary IS possibly funnier than anything in the film, as the Kids freely comment and rip on themselves and each other while viewing the film. Guest commentary by Mike Myers, Jason Priestly, and Andy Richter is amusing and interesting, though the comments from Trey Parker & Matt Stone are unfunny and obnoxious (they're trying WAY too hard to be funny). As far as the Kids go, McDonald and Thompson come off as the nicest (though Thompson seems rather, shall we say, eccentric), McKinney is amusing but the most businesslike, and Foley & McCulloch come off as the least likable. The extras are bizarre and irreverant, as one one expect from the troupe. Well worth picking up!

(More customer reviews)Originally aired on Fuse before finding a proper home on IFC, The Whitest Kids U' Know is the best sketch comedy show you've never seen. Created by and starring Trevor Moore, Zach Cregger, Sam Brown, Darren Trumeter, and Timmy Williams; The Whitest Kids U' Know is often inspired sketch comedy with an edge, and is reminiscent of early MAD TV (minus the laugh track or audience) or more so Kids in the Hall. All ten first season episodes are collected here, and feature hysterical moments such as Trevor Moore showing his musical side with "Hitler Rap", playing a guitar while telling kids how they can get a new daddy, and more besides. Also in the mix are rampant conspiracy theories, a horny deer, different takes on Abraham Lincoln, a demon watching girls play with a Quija board, and a courtroom that falls victim to "opposite day". While there are times when skits fall flat (the face off between the monster truck drivers comes to mind), The Whitest Kids U' Know is a hysterical blast that deserves to be checked out if you've been missing out on it so far. The only disappointment about the DVD set is that more extras weren't included, but despite that, this is still definitely worth picking up for those who have enjoyed the show so far.

(More customer reviews)I recently ordered this on Amazon and I am currently awaiting its arrival via UPS this afternoon. I became a Whitest Kids fan immediately after I caught an episode on Netflix. From that moment on, I have been watching any and every episode that I can get my hands on. I am glad to see that IFC is not afraid to let a cutting edge comedy show try to be bold and daring. I have seen every episode available of Instant Watch on Netflix, but I will re-watch Season 2 again when it arrives. I high recommend this to people who like bold and often times cringe inducing humor. If you have ever enjoyed shock jock radio then this is a must see.

TRAILER PARK BOYS - SEASON 7 (2008) Review

(More customer reviews)The 7th and possibly final season of Trailer Park Boys has some bizarre moments that top anything that has come before. The presence of Sebastian Bach alone signals hilarious trouble. The loss of Trevor and Cory is handled well enough (Twiggy Alien Cory does an admirable job, but it's Philadelphia Collins that really creates some laughs with his huge belly and love of greasy burgers).
Bubbles loses his mind bit by bit and some episodes end with great "what the heck??!!" moments. All in all, it's a shame this could be the end of the show, but only because they were still capable of creating consistently funny episodes leading to a great closing episode.

Julian, Ricky and Bubbles are at it again! Season 7 revolves around the Boysâ cross-border shenanigans: the cheap price of dope in Canada means the guys have to look for opportunities south of the border to make a profit. Bubbles decides he needs a hobby and starts collecting model trains. At a train convention he meets Sebastian Bach, ex-frontman of Skid Row, guest starring as himself. Bach likes Ricky's dope, and is willing to pay a premium for it if the Boys can deliver it to him in the States. Country music singer George Canyon stars as a forest ranger in hot pursuit of the Boys as they hatch a scheme to sell dope in the U.S.

(More customer reviews)I am a little disappointed that The Jamie Kennedy Experiment only lasted three years, but I guess the positive thing is that it never became old. In its third and final season, the theme of the year was Road Trip; pretty much every week took place in a different city. One week was Miami, the next was Jamie's home town of Philidelphia, and the next was Chicago (my home town!). Each town presented unique opportunites for experiments. The Miami show had two hilarious bits: one involved a marine research center where they tricked an intern into believing that scientists had created a device that could translate dolphin noises into English (the producer provided the voice of the dolphin, and he said some hilarious things). The other one had Jamie and a child actor going to a Miami Dolphins practice session so that the kid could play with some of his favorite Dolphins. However, Jamie, who played the kid's dad, smacked the kid around and tried to get all the attention from the players for himself.
The Chicago show was also amazing. They set up a man (who is actually my Dad's old secretary's brother!) at Mike Ditka's restaurant. The guy idolizes Ditka, and they made it seem as if Jamie bought the restaurant and made Ditka his personal assistant. In another bit in Chicago, Jamie played a buggy driver who got into a jousting match with a rival buggy driver! It was so funny, and it ended really nice because there was a couple in the buggy. The guy knew what was going on, but his girlfriend didn't, and at the end, he proposed to her.
In Philly, Jamie got to participate (and cheat) in a cheese steak eating contest, and he even got to "X" his parents.
This was a great final season for a hilarious reality show. While I detest a good 99% of reality programming (The Amazing Race is good), this was the rare exception that I could not only tolerate, but enjoy. We not be getting X'ed anymore, but we'll always have these DVD sets.
