In fact, the extras in the movie give better performances than the leads. The story sucks. You could make a fun drinking game though. Watch the movie and drink every time MJ says the word neverland.
If you are not a MJ fan, you will hate this movie. If you are a normal MJ fan, you will hate this movie. If you are the biggest MJ fan in the world, you will HATE this movie.
Pop question hot shot....What's the stupidest idea ever? No Michael Jackson music in a Michael Jackson movie! Yep that's right. No Beat It, no Thriller, no Billy Jean. Just cheesey music.
Take the money you were about to spend on this DVD and pay someone to kick you in the balls, hard, because that would be better than this movie.

Everybody Loves Raymond: The Complete Series (2007) Review

(More customer reviews)I just got my house and it's great! Most who are interested in this set probably already know each of the 210 episodes by heart, so I'll describe the packaging. It looks so cute on display. The roof lifts up to reveal the nine cases for each season. They look like minis of the individual season cases with sturdy covers that open up like books. They are set in the house at different heights so they are easy to pull out. Inside there is the episode list and photos like with the individual seasons. The discs are in cardboard sleeves that have a photo of one of the 5 main characters with two quotes. I know a lot of people are concerned about the cardboard sleeves scratching the discs. I will admit, they do fit rather tightly in the sleeves, but each sleeve has a paper backing that seems to protect the disc from scratches. I have not noticed scratches on the ones I've pulled out so far but, I haven't played these discs enough yet to really test it.
What I really like about the box set, besides it being so cute, is that it takes up less room than those big, bulky individual season sets. It takes up a little more than six individual seasons worth, so that frees up a lot of space in my cabinet. The discs have the same extras as the individuals seasons, plus you also get a book with the shooting script for "The Finale." The autographs of the writers are facsimiles on the cover. If the discs hold up (I've heard of disc protectors you can snap on called "D-Skins," but I'm not sure they will fit with this setup) and with the reasonable price you can get this for on Amazon right now, I see no reason to keep those bulky individual sets, so up for sale they go!

Beyond the Fringe (2005) Review

(More customer reviews)Inspired by The Goon Show, inspiring "At Last The 1948 Show", "Do Not Adjust Your Set" and "Monty Python's Flying Circus", a film of the original "Beyond The Fringe" surfacing is cause for celebration of British Humor the world over!!!
This presentation has the complete West End/Broadway show, and runs a side-aching 116 minutes. *Very* funny stuff, this!
However, despite the box's claims, this *not* the first released, nor the *only* filming of "Beyond The Fringe." As any maven of early '80's U.S. Midnight movies knows, that honor goes dubiously to the poorly filmed and terribly recorded document of their Royal Command Performance reunion with Monty Python's Flying Circus at Prince Albert Hall from 1972, released in the U.S. as "Monty Python Meets Beyond The Fringe." U.S. filmgoers (at any rate)left the theatre badly puzzled: The audience knew all the punchlines, and began laughing at them, and shouting at them before they were even uttered, drowning the actors out on the film's soundtrack. That Command Performance has mercifully remained unreleased on Videotape and DVD, THIS performance fortunately is MUCH better! It is hilarious!
This is the 1964 farewell performance from London's West End. It is well enough recorded, sonically speaking, although sometimes some castmembers seem unevenly miked or undermiked, or worse have a microphone drop-out for a second or two. Furthermore, it *is* in Black & White, which the product review doesn't seem to mention in any prominent way. Putting on the subtitles will help you with the occasional mike drop-out, but the B&W format does not contrast the stage set very well, and may seem a bit drab to the 21st century viewer. However, don't let these details scare you away: this really *was* (and remains) one of the funniest things seen on stage since the Marx Bros. "Animal Crackers" in 1929!!!

(More customer reviews)Abbot & Costello: Funniest Routines Vol 1 is a great collection of classic routines from my favorite comedy team. There is close to an hour and a half of comedy on the disc, and they're the type of bits the whole family can enjoy.
There's a wide variety of stuff here, and it all looks great. Two of the bonus features have been colorized, the rest are presented from a great B&W print, that is probably the best one I've seen. The bonus features that are presented in color are the Trailer for "Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein" and a Campbell's Soup commercial. Here's hoping for an all out colorized version of A&C Meet Frankenstein!

(More customer reviews)Every year, I look forward to new Christmas releases of shows and specials from long ago. This year, I was thrilled to find out that the original Christmas special from Abbott & Costello's Colgate Comedy Hour would be released.
This was long overdue, but worth the wait- it's wonderful. It features a restored, colorized version of the hour long special, as well as the original black and white version, for those who want it just as it was shown. Abbott & Costello's routines are very well timed, as usual. It's fun to see them in a different light, compared to the many Universal monster spin-offs that we all love. Sprinkled in between the acts are original commercials for household items like Palmolive soap, and Colgate toothpaste, and last but not least there are special guest appearances from musical talents such as Margaret Whiting, the Four Pipers, Al Goodman and his orchestra, and other great guests such as Tom and Jerry the acrobats.
The bonus features add a nice touch to this nostalgic release. There are individual Christmas messages promoting the Christmas Seals program from stars like Virginia Mayo, Rosemary Clooney, Ingrid Bergman, Gary Cooper, Ray Milland and many more (8 different messages to be exact). These add even more holiday enjoyment, reminding us of those times when issues like tuberculosis were at the forefront of our every day living.
