Another reviewer said that she did'nt regret watching this film. I did. I have always admired actors like Kelly Martin and a few others who refused to lower themselves to Hollywood's sleazy standards. This is the only movie I've seen where Ms. Martin compromises and allows herself to do a sleazy, sensual scene. There may have been more sleazy scenes in this movie but I wouldn't know because after the first one I popped the dvd out and tossed it on my "discard" file...and I said to myself "another Hollywood actress who use to enforce some measure of discretion has caved in to the relentless pressure, from Hollywood directors, to compromise one's standards." Too bad!

I purchased this movie purely because of the actresses who participated in it. Normally, Hillary Swank and Joanna Kerns are a part of some really good movies. I was very disappointed in this one though. I expected more than what the movie gave.

PLOT: desperate couples go to Dr. Jacobson known as the "baby maker" who has very good results with infertilty~ reality has him using his own sperm and lying about pregnancy to many women.
Dr. Cecil Jacobson helps many couples looking to get pregnant including a drug called HCG which can create a 'false positive' ~ the Costellanos were told twice they were pregnant including seeing a baby in an ultra sound~ both were lies and manipulation by the Doctor~ at the same time Mary Bennett and her husband go TO DR. Jacobson~ and conceive via artifical insemination have a son~ 5 years later Dr. Jacobson has the STATE of Virginia trying to revoke his medical license due to the lies and also USING HIS OWN SPERM to impregnate women with out their permission or knowledge~ when Mary(Melissa Gilbert) is top notch as the desperate Mary who now shows up to "support" the doctor but finds her son looks like him and a group of children all have the same eye problem~ after a DNA test she finds that Dr. Jacobson fathered over 75 children including her own son~ outraged she makes every effort to have his license revoked~ the Doctor simply went into the restroom and "poof" supplied the sperm without any one being the wiser until DNA tests caught up with his lies~ George Dzunda is excellent as the crooked Doc who feels the women should be "grateful" he used his sperm~ this is based on a real event. well done and well acted~ I GIVE IT 5 OUT OF 5 FOR REAL LIFE EVENT AND GILBERT IS AT HER BEST IN THIS ONE~

The Best of Court TV: Body of Evidence (2002) Review

The Best of Court TV: Body of Evidence (2002)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Body of Evidence is a show on Court TV where various real-life crimes are shown & discussed from beginning to end.
The particular crimes explored on this program are from the files of profiler Dayle Hinman. Dayle is a very likable person who takes her job quite seriously - you can tell it means a lot to her to get these criminals off the street. She is responsible for helping the police to determine the "type" of person who would commit such crimes - including their ethnicity, age, educational level & personlity.
This is one of those shows that I watch each & every week, as it never ceases to amaze me how the art of profiling works. It's great to know that police now have this tool available for catching the "bad guys".
Overall, I would highly recommend this DVD set to anyone who enjoys learning about the man or woman behind the crime, and the process law enforcement uses to get the criminals behind bars.
