I LOVE project runway. since it doesn't run in germany (where i live) i always order the dvds from the US. so i wonder everytime why they cannot just NOT tell the winner on the backside of the dvd?? this time i just didn't look on the backside, but then the winner was shown in the menue of the dvd....
i missed the reunion and also the "wear are they now" - there was just a short interview with the winner. the extras are too few.
heidi strikes me as quite heartless - there is never any empathy and she just says her lines.
but still i watched the season in almos just one go! it's marvellous. but no project runway season will ever come up to season 2 (santino!). that was the BEST.

Nip/Tuck: Season 5, Part 1 (2007) Review

what A LOT of people dont seem to realize is that there were supposed to be 22 episodes this season, making it the longest nip/tuck season yet. however, only 14 were aired. (most likely due to the wrighters strike we're all so familiar with) so for those that feel there was no closure, you're right, there wasnt any, because that was never supposed to be the close, they just aired the ones they had finished.
while i agree, the plots have gotten more and more shocking, and less about the surgery and the subtlties of the charecter relationships, i have to keep my fingers crossed that by the end of the season (the missing episodes rumored to be airing early this fall, possibly late summer) things will turn around a bit and get more involved, and less trashy.
never the less, i'm gonna buy it, i plan to support my favorite show, leave my input, and hope it gets back to some taste.
love the show, love ya all, feel free to contact me

L.A. City of Angels. Tinseltown. La-La Land. The place thats made a bundle selling glamour, illusion and dreams the perfect place for the newly relocated plastic-surgery practice of McNamara/Troy. Its also the place for Lights! Camera! Scalpels! as Sean and Christian go from consulting on a TV drama about plastic surgery to being on-camera players (and rivals for stardom). Its the place for wavering Kimber to become porn again, for strung-out Matt to try to go straight, for Julia and Christian to rekindle a flame, for all the personal and professional entanglements that are McNamara/Troy. And its the place for skilled surgical procedures some silly, some heartrendingly serious. Welcome to L.A.!

Sex and the City: The Complete Fifth Season (2002) Review

Sex and the City: The Complete Fifth Season (2002)

I am an avid watcher of Sex and the City, I adore the show. However, I think other fans will agree with me when I say that Season 5 was pretty much the lowpoint of the series. I record all of the episodes of every season and watch them frequently . . . I haven't touched my Season 5 tapes since it aired.
Initially, it was supposed to be 13 episodes (instead of the normal 18) to accomodate Sarah's pregnancy. We were supposed to get 8 episodes in the summer and then she was to return to the show for 5 more episodes the following spring. As you can see, that never happened. We were left with 8, "okay" episodes.
My main complaint and its a big one, is the pricing of the DVD "set", if you can call it that. This is the shortest season of the series, 8 episodes, compared to the normal 18. Now why in hell would I pay just as much money for 8 episodes as I would for 18? I mean, maybe if they'd added some special features to this set to make up for a lack of episodes, I might consider buying this. However, knowing what I do about the Sex and the City DVDs I own, I highly doubt that anything has been added.
In short, I cannot recommend this purchase simply because HBO is asking the same from us (monetarily speaking) and only delivering about a quarter of what they have in the past (episodes and episode quality). Even though I love the series, I will not purchase this item.

It's summertime, but that doesn't mean the women of Sex and the City are livin' easy. They've got new loves, new responsibilities, new choices to make, and (oh, yes!) a new baby to deal with - and that equates to a whole new outlook on being single in New York City. Ready or not, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha are headed for uncharted territory on an all-new season of HBO's smash-hit comedy series Sex and the City!DVD Features:Audio CommentaryBiographiesFeaturetteOther
