I loved this movie. I strongly recomend that all parents and teenagers watch this!
Is the story of Rachel Sandler, a teenager in high school. She has it all , great looks, a cute doting boyfreind , good freinds and popularity. She thinks nothing bad can happen to her as she excitedly prepares her college application. Then in one shocking moment she gets an instant message on her computer from "concerned Citizen" it informs her that a former sexual partner of hers whose name is Jason, who was recently killed in a tragic accident, was HIV positive and a IV Drug user. She stares at the screen in shock thinking this has to be a joke. To bad for Rachel it isnt. Its all to real. Will Rachel also be HIV positive? She only had sex with Jason Once at a party weeks ealier , her first time. To find out if she is positive she goes to a clinic for a rapid test , the clinic where her Substitute Science Teacher Sarah Bennet Volenteers her time. Sarah has a secret of her own , she has aids , and has had it for years. she lives every day taking handfulls of pills and dealing with the oh so horrible side effects. these two women come together in this terrible crisis and help each other face the realities of what they are living with. and they give each other some freindship and hope. I strongly recomment this film . its very accurate on explaining the seriousness of Unprotected sex, HIV and AIDS. i give it a ten!

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, half of all new HIV infections occur in people under age 25. Lifetime explores this staggering statistic, and the world of teen love, sex and gossip, in the must-see Lifetime Original Movie Girl, Positive.Seventeen-year-old Rachel Sandler (Andrea Bowen, Desperate Housewives) is shocked out of her carefree world when word spreads through her upper-middle class community that Jason, a popular athlete who recently died, was an IV drug user. But it's a mysterious computer message that really hits home: Jason, who Rachel had unprotected sex with, may have been HIV positive. Wanting to learn more about HIV, Rachel is urged to visit the local AIDS clinic by her new substitute teacher, Sarah Bennet (Jennie Garth, 90210). While there, Rachel takes a rapid AIDS test, but panics and leaves before learning the results. When Sarah discovers Rachel's test is positive, she breaks the shocking news to her, later revealing to Rachel that she herself has secretly been living with HIV for more than seven years. While both women wish to keep their privacy, they soon find out that with today's technology of instant messaging, cell phones and blogs, gossip--just like the disease--can spread fast and furiously.
