(More customer reviews)I've always loved animals. As a "dog person", wolves have always been close to my heart. I've admired their intelligence, free spirit, family bonds and the fact that they mate for life. I've read books about them and watched many documentaries. This film has truly touched my soul. It is an intimate portrait and allows you to peek into their daily life and witness the true nature of this amazing animal. The second video (Wolves at our door) in this DVD set is basically a form of cliff notes, but I didn't mind watching both over and over again ;)
I wholeheartedly recommend this DVD. It is the most beautiful documentary I've seen thus far. It will steal your heart :)

(More customer reviews)I saw this on tv about a month or so ago. Wow!! This is totally outstanding. Never have I seen anything, I mean anything like this before! This is not your typical wolf movie. Get it and be amazed.

(More customer reviews)This dvd is a must have for wolf lovers! Shaun is a brilliant researcher and though his methods may seem a bit unorthidox by some, he truly gets to the heart of the wolf. Never before has someone been able to get an inside look at wolves, and pack dynamics... directly from the wolf's point of view.
In this dvd, Shaun's fiance, Helen, is introduced to the pack in hopes of becoming a wolf nanny. Helen brings humor and a bit of innocence that was very endearing. It was wonderful getting to see the wolves through their eyes.
Definitely worth it! The only thing I didn't like, was the fact that it got canceled after the first season!
My recommendation... check out his other DVD documentary from the Discovery Channel, "A Man Among Wolves". You'll never look at wolves the same way again!
