(More customer reviews)If you own The Pimp Chronicles Part 1 then you should avoid this. This had about 98% the exact same material performed in front of a different audience and in full screen. So I found it to be a waste of money. It's one thing for comedians to repeat a joke or two as a filler an to repeat the same material for new audience, but to release it twice? What a way to screw us out our money! So if you own The Pimp Chronicles Part 1, then this would be a waste of money, if you ask me. Either release, the comedy is hilarious and worthy of 5 stars but this specific DVD only gets 2 because it's the same. It's a waste of money if you have The Pimp Chronicles Part 1. But if don't have either, go with this one, as there are a couple extra and extended jokes.

MTV Jackass, Vol. 3 (2001) Review

(More customer reviews)Yes kiddies, if Volume 2 wasn't enough for you, "Jackass: Volume 3" is here to give you more laughs, more cringes, more sickness, and more pain. Some people think the show is utterly stupid and pointless. Yeah.... and the problem is? That's why it's so funny.
This isn't for people with weak stomachs. A lot of the things you're going to see on this DVD are going to make you sick and cringe a lot... but you'll be laughing like hell if you're a sick and twisted S.O.B. like me!
When you purchase Volume 3, expect to see this: Bounty hunter, beard of leeches, full pipe skating, bottle skating, hot dog skate boarding, security guard, nutball, spermathon, fat ---- #2, and much, much more. Once again, nakedness is blurred (not really a bad thing if you ask me) and cuss words are bleeped. Still I do not know why they feel that the actually swearing has to be bleeped out and yet swears in the background music can still be left in. Oh well.
And again, no spectacular special features included, but it's the 77 minutes of hilarity and madness of the actual show that counts. The few features included are things like a trivia game, photo gallery, and cast bios.
So if you think you can take another dose of Jackass, then by all means pick up "Jackass: Volume 3." While it may not be as good as Volume 2, it is still a very worthy purchase. Be prepared to laugh, cringe, and be disgusted. All that fun stuff, right? I thought you'd agree with me.
Kids, don't try this at home. Until you are an actual member of the official show, just stick to watching so I don't have to hear parents and the news complain about how terrible of a show it is. All right? Think you can do that? Great. Thank you.

Due to some random haggard circumstances, Volume 1 of the Jackass TV series isn't coming out anytime soon. But in the meantime here's Volume 3. Volume three of the Jackass series contains a random, haggard selection of segments and bits that aired on our crappy little television show. Memorable moments in this half-ass collection include the recitation of the Gettysburg Address by Johnny Knoxville while a beard of leeches is applied to his ruggedly handsome face, Chris Pontius stripping down for the pleasure of five other dudes, Wee Man and Preston Lacy pulling a "poo switcheroo" with a porta-potty, Dave England digging through the trash and unearthing a tasty treat in a diaper, and a bunch of other absurd stunts, pranks and queer misbehavior from our bumbling cat and crew of idiots.

Penn & Teller - Bullsh*t - The Complete Fourth Season (2003) Review

(More customer reviews)After a slightly messy third season, I was a little wary of whether magicians Penn and Teller would be able to keep my interest going for much longer. The first two seasons of their show were amazing and dealt with great topics like Profanity, the truth of the Bible, PETA, talking to the dead, and creationism. However, the third season just couldn't compare. While there were a few very good episodes (family values, signs from Heaven), most dealt with topics that I see as harmless, and the jokes seemed to be falling flat. So I was pleasantly surprised when the fourth season began and the quality had been restored. The episodes once again dealt with controversial issues and the humor seemed to work again.
Nearly every episode this season dealt with its topic in an interesting way; if the topic was controversial, Penn and Teller didn't back down from remaining edgy, and if it wasn't, the duo exposed a new side of the topic. The best example is the Manners episode; in it, they criticize people who take good manners way too seriously. One of their guests is a guy from Chicago who gets annoyed to the extent of anger by even the tiniest of impolite gestures. Their look at the Boy Scouts was intriguing to me due to my feelings for the organization; a lot of the Scouts' policies are pretty discriminatory, and though they have received some heat in the past few years, there are some things that they do that haven't been brought to light.
Some of the episodes were really fun and allowed us to have a slight laugh as well as think about certain issues. Cryptozoology, the "study" of mystical creatures like the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot, was hilarious due to the so-called "proof" used by some people to show the existence of certain animals, while the Pet Love episode taught us something that I have been saying for years: snakes do not make good pets! However, other episodes were very serious and heart-wrenching, and none more than the one on Ground Zero. Penn and Teller talk about how the events after the 9/11 attack have been terribly mismanaged and that we should have had construction on at least SOMETHING started in at least 2003, whether it be a memorial or new towers. The Death Penalty episode was also emotional; Penn and Teller argued against it, but when some of their guests gave arguments in favor of it, the duo handled their rebuttle very eloquently. Most of the guests they had who were pro-death penalty had suffered losses in their families, and Penn and Teller were able to skillfully present their argument while respecting the way the grieving family members felt.
My favorite episode was the one on Abstinence; in fact, it is one of the few episodes to rival the Profanity episode's spot as my favorite. The arguments used by abstinence-only educators were silly and trivial, and Penn and Teller were masterfully able to point out the fallacies and hypocrisy.
Hopefully the level of quality shown in this season will continue on in Season 5 (I'm pretty sure there will be one). The topics were well-chosen and argued, and Penn and Teller were able to keep things funny (when the situation called for it).

MTV Jackass, Vol. 2 (2001) Review

(More customer reviews)Jackass is what it is. Funny stupid stunts where someone always gets hurt. MTV took Bam Margera's CKYs and Big Brother's skate videos and turned it into mainstream chaos. It is great exposure for Bam, Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, Random Hero and the rest of the gang. The stunts and pranks are all real. And all are really funny. This is a good DVD. The only downer is the censorship. It is the exact same as the TV show. Bleeped curse words and fuzzed out nudity.
All the crazy stuff they don'y show on TV, they don't show on here either. It is still worth it. If you want movies with real crazy funny stuff that will leave you shocked and in stiches check out CKY 1-4. And Big Brother's Poop.
