OH MY GAWD!!!! How do they do that!? This slick video of "organ origami" is a hilarious account of Simon Morley & David "Frendy" Friend's act that premiered in Melbourne, Australia. These two well-endowed wonders twist their willys into all sorts of shapes from a hamburger, hot dog, snail, pelican, wind surfer, to the Eiffel Tower and Loch Ness Monster! YOUCH! I bet that smarts! Unabashedly and unshamefully honest, this duo does live on stage, totally naked what some guys only imagine or do behind closed doors. The DVD also includes a "how-to" chapter that illustrates the fine art of genital manipulation. Learn how to do the infamous hamburger, snail, 3 wood, and other wonders of willydom! This is a non-sexual presentation even though there is total male frontal nudity and genital manipulation. Presented in documentary form, this film recounts the story of the origins of the act up to present performances with road companies at major festivals throughout the world. Not for the easily-offended, embarassed, or faint-of-heart, this video is hilarious and leaves you wondering two things: 1.) How'd they do that? & 2.) What are they going to do next? A few re-enactments borrowed from "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert", shows Simon dressed only in a Silver lame cape standing on top of his Combi as Frendy drives through the Australian Outback and him and Frendy standing at the edge of King's Rock au naturel. A true camp classic, a great edition to the collection of rare and unusal DVD's....

Flight of the Conchords: The Complete First Season (2007) Review

Flight of the Conchords: The Complete First Season (2007)

The show follows the lives of a two man digi-folk band from New Zealand who frequently bust out into song. Bret McKenzie (ryhmenosaurus) and Jemaine Clement (Hiphoppopotamus) are the two members of this hilarious duo who move to New York in hopes of being discovered. The other regulars on the show are their equally funny band manager Murray who's real job is working at the New Zealand consulate, their one obsessive fan or fan period Mel who is the president, treasurer, and secretary of their fan club, and Dave, Bret and Jemaine's friend and advisor
It's hard to describe how Flight of the Conchords is so funny in the same way it's hard to describe how certain faces Dwight, Jim, Or Pam make to the camera on The Office are funny. There accents and mannerisms alone are hilarious.
I'd recommend checking out HBO's website click on Flight of the Conchords and check out the lyrics to some of the songs on different episodes, also funny stuff.
I think fans of Seinfeld, The Office, and This is Spinal tap will really enjoy and anyone who gets subtle humor, looking for something fresh.
Flight of the Conchords airs Sundays on HBO at 10:30 following Entourage.
Episode guide so far.
It's already starting to get quoted on Sportscenter.
You can also purchase there cd on Amazon as well it is called The Distant Future and has 5 tracks, a full cd will be released early in 2008, only 5$, a good deal, here are the tracks.
1. Business Time
2. If You're Into It
3. Crying
4. Beautiful Girl - (live, live)
5. Robots - (live, live)
Season 1 Episodes
01 Sally -
Jemaine dates Bret's old girlfriend and goes into a song about she's hot enough to be a part time model or a high class prostitute. Bret works on his helmet made of hair.
02 Bret Gives up the Dream -
Murray kicks Bret out of the band because he missed a gig and because they have his part on cassette. Bret focuses on his job holding signs instead and meets a new girl and sings a reggae song to her.
03 Mugged-
Murray refuses to get gigs at night because it's to dangerous. Bret and Jemaine get mugged. Jermaine has abandonment issues because Bret left him with the muggers caught on the fence.
04 Yoko-
Jemaine is jealous of Bret's girlfriend and thinks she's trying to spit up the band and likens her to Yoko her name is Cocoa. Jermaine works on a song about her "Black haired lady queen, dabbling in art, i won't let the she-wolf tear us apart. Mel gets jealous. Peace is made with a song about love sticking together like the tape the tape of love, ooh the sticky stuff.
05 Sally Returns-
Jermaine tries to get back with Sally but he needs to find his own place first so he rents out a cleaning closet in a nice apartment building which Murray refers to as a compartment. Jemaine and Bret battle for Sally.
06 Bowie - "Do they smoke grass in space Bowie, or do they smoke Astroturf "?
While doing a photos shoot Bret gets body issues and gets help from David Bowie in some "freaky" dreams to give Bret advice such as wearing an eye patch. Jemaine writes a song to cheer him up called "Bret you got it going on". **One of the funniest episodes**
07 Drive by - Jemaine and Bret have a bit of a race war. Murray falls in love with the girl from tech support.
08 Girlfriends - Bret and Jemaine get girlfriends. The roles of guy and girl get reversed as Bret is pressured into sex and told if he doesn't give it up she might not be able to have children, also that she is in Delta Force and being shipped out.
09 What Goes on Tour - Using the band's "emergency fund," Murray organizes a warm-up tour in preparation for a big gig in Central Park.
10 New Fans - The guys do a gig at a bar featuring world music and acquire two new fans much to Mel's dismay who think they just want sex.
11 The Actor - The guys hire an actor to pretend to be a record executive and give him some good compliments while letting him down to boost his self esteem, but the actor goes to far and offers them millions that he doesn't have.
12 The Third Conchords - Murray hires a bongo player Todd to join the band while at the dentist and high on Novocaine, Bret and Jemaine but heads with Todd.
Thanks for reading and hope the Info helps, albeit a bit thrown together as I tried to update as I watched the season and heard things on the series.

Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie â€" a.k.a. Flight of the Conchords â€" may be “New Zealand’s 4th Most Popular Folk Parody Duo,” but in the USA, finding someone who knows their act is about as easy as finding a kiwi nest in Central Park. To rectify this oversight, Jemaine and Bret have moved to New York’s East Village to conquer America, one fan (literally) at a time.

My whole family fell in love with Brett and Jermaine in Season One. We couldn't wait for Season Two to start on HBO and I admit,we were a little disappointed in a few of the episodes. However, after the season ended, I watched all the episodes several times again on HBO "On Demand" in April and was shocked at how fabulous some of the episodes that I thought I didn't like were. I ended up LOVING Season Two. My favorite episode is still Unnatural Love where Jermaine dates the Australian girl...Too Many [...] on the Dance Floor and Carol Brown are great, creative, funny songs! The Cup and the Tough Bretts are other great episodes. Have fun! You'll enjoy good intellectual humor with any of the Conchords Seasons DVD's. I can't wait to get mine!

Summer Heights High (2009) Review

Summer Heights High (2009)
Average Reviews:

Australia has given us some excellent character actors: script-ripping stagemen who can become larger than life caricatures. Think Crocodile Dundee, or -- better yet -- Dame Edna.
But Chris Lilley has come along and surpassed them all. Indeed, his versatility and roaringly off-putting humour surpasses any of the dark humour in 'Little Britain' or other such countrywide satires.
Now we in North America can enjoy 'Summer Heights High', one of the truly wicked and funny send-ups of a secondary school mini-universe, its cliques, turf wars, and teachers (who are barely more mature than the students).
'Summer Heights High' deserves proper sequential viewing -- one cannot simply dive into a later episode and acquire the plot. Lilley's immense talent for character-forming deserves close attention and patience as he lays down, through improvisation, innuendo, and sheer brilliance for skit acting, three distinct narratives (which amazingly never cross paths) in a suburban Australian school. Details of these three personas which he takes on can be found widely, so I won't repeat the background stories here. I just want to state that Lilley's ability to assume different characters is positively uncanny. I mean, uncanny. Take an excellent method actor and combine it with a razor mouthed pirrahna of improv and quick-thinking, and you get a sense of just how kooky and unpredictable Lilley is.
For my money, it surpasses the muti-headed hydra pranks of Cohen (of 'Borat' fame). Because Lilley can deliver sinister and scathing satire on racism, drugs, and just about every other taboo -- but just when you wonder if he's a nihilist, out comes a breathtaking moment of magnificent spirit and heart. The final scenes involving Jonah Takalua are simply headshakingly good, without any hint of that 'very special moment' that usually mars most dramas supposedly about teens.
Chris Lilley, you're brilliant, mate.

In this hilarious series set in a real Australian high school, actor/comedian Chris Lilley stars as three different characters: a vain drama teacher, a self-absorbed boy, and a haughty female exchange student. Hysterical, absurd and frequently shocking, Summer Heights High reveals a world where small issues become huge, social groups are critical, young minds are molded, hopes are shattered and dreams are realized.

Puppetry of the Penis: The Ancient Art of Genital Origami (2003) Review

Puppetry of the Penis: The Ancient Art of Genital Origami (2003)
Average Reviews:

PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS was an unexpected hot ticket in London and New York--a fifty minute comedy act that involves to two men who give a new meaning to the phrase "show and tell" by stripping buck naked and twisting their genitalia into, well, object d'art. So to speak. And this DVD offers the show before a live audience, so you can sit in on the twisting and pulling in an up-close and personal sort of way.
This sounds a lot more bizarre than it really is, as any man who ever spent part of their teenage years in the highschool locker room can tell you. Yes: it really is teenage boy humor, and Austrailian comics Simon Morley and David Friend have snatched it out of the locker room and plunked it on stage for all the world to see. There's "the boomerang," "the eye," "the Loch Ness Monster," "the baby bird," and a host of other penis impersonations--all of which are good for a giggle and some of which are downright hilarious.
Although the show is done in the nude, it isn't in the least erotic, so if that's what you're looking for you had better go some where else. And in truth, this is a show that probably works much better on stage, where there it no doubt has an "in your face" factor that leads the audience to embarrassed hilarity--and indeed, the camera spends almost as much time on audience reaction as on the performers.
Now, this is never going to make any one's short list of "must own live comedy shows." After all, the material will only stretch so far... but taken in the right spirit, it is quite amusing, and it might be the perfect video for that next party you're thinking about giving--just imagine the possibilities! The DVD package also includes a documentary on the creation of a second PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS performing company, which is also amusing in a bizarre sort of way, and a small booklet that will let viewers follow along at home if they are so inclined. An entertaining bit of fluff.
