(More customer reviews)Only 10-15 minutes of new Elmo material. All the rest is 10 years old or older. REM and Trisha Yearwood are from Season 30 (1998). Not your typical Elmo's World video. I was disappointed. BUT!!--It was all new to my toddler, and the old bit with Grover asking children to explain "love" is very sweet. Worth adding to your Elmo collection, but don't get too excited about "all-new" material. I'd also recommend picking it up at your local Wal-mart for $9.99, instead of paying Amazon $12.99 (as of 01/13/09).

Sesame Street: Bedtime With Elmo (2009) Review

(More customer reviews)We bought this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter who just got a big girl bed and was having trouble falling asleep. She could not express why, so we thought this video might help her articulate her feelings. It made everything worse. Now she is afraid of monsters in her room and everywhere else in the house.
I think if your child is already afraid of things in the dark it is GREAT, but if your child has no ideas about monsters, or total darkness fears you should not purchase it.

Elmo & Abby's Birthday Fun (2009) Review

(More customer reviews)My 2-year-old doesn't like the repackaged Sesame Street material that makes up so many of these Elmo videos (the exception being Elmo's World, which she loves). So, videos with 5 or 10 minutes of new material and then lots of old Sesame Street stuff makes her more whiny than happy. This video falls into that category. I gave it 2 stars rather than 1 because she does like the Elmos World part. Instead of this, I recommend Abby in Wonderland which is FANTASTIC.

Dinosaurs (2008) Review

(More customer reviews)My son loves anything Sesame, and Dinosaurs! is no exception. He has a number of Sesame Street videos, and this one is currently his "go-to" DVD. He giggles through the whole thing. I think he especially enjoys that Elmo, Telly, and Abby spend part of the DVD dressed as different dinosaurs.
There is also a part of the show where a "real" dinosaur comes to Sesame Street. When he walks, the whole street shakes. My son loves that too!
Overall, a winner in our house!

He also likes the camera portion and has requested it specifically on occasion - "Elmo - Camera!"
He doesn't like the middle episode (skin) quite as much but it does have some educational qualities.

Elmo's Christmas Countdown (2008) Review

(More customer reviews)My son is almost 2 years old and a huge Elmo fan. We purchased this DVD under a week ago and he's already watched it 6 times! He's requesting it all the time ! The scenes with Anne Hathaway, Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx are memorable and my husband and I find ourselves singing the songs long after the DVD is over. A must for any Elmo fan. I can see this as a pre-Christmas ritual from now on.
