It is a mix of established characters, Americanised versions of UK characters, and entirely new characters. It continues to be very funny and very rude!
New hits are an ex astronaut living on his faded reputation, a foul mouthed schoolgirl and two over macho bodybuilders.

(More customer reviews)If you liked the first series of "Little Britain", you can buy this one without hesitation. As of early May 2006, it hasn't been released in the US yet, so when I received a british copy as a gift, I ran out and bought a region-free DVD player just so I could watch it !
There are a few more wacky characters this time around, and the existing ones are more outrageous than ever. Some of the skits are so un-politically correct, it would never fly in the U.S, which probably makes it even more fun to watch.
If you go to your bank to apply for a loan, you'll probably have a smile on your face. " Computer says no".

Little Britain is the reigning king of UK comedy. Its quirky, off-kilter characters have quickly become British national treasures, garnering numerous accolades, including three BAFTAs (UK equivalent to Emmys) and double gold at the prestigious Rose d'Or of Lucerne (Europe's highest comedy award). (More customer reviews)Let me preface my review by saying that I'm a die-hard fan of "Little Britain." However, I will be as unbiased as possible in my review of this DVD.
I have to admit that I do agree with people's criticism that Season 3 of "LB" was not as funny as the previous 2. I didn't find the new characters they added terribly amusing, and sketches with the old favorites do tend to get a little repetitive. I've seen the episodes on BBC America, but I'm looking forward to hearing the episode commentary and deleted scenes. Having said that, I still think that there's enough laughs, giggles, and smiles in each episode to warrant purchasing this DVD. I'd kind of only recommend it for fans and purists... but please know that Matt Lucas and David Walliams' lesser work is still a million times funnier than a lot of drivel that we get here in the US.
Also, as for extras, that's a real enticement to get this DVD. UK fans were disappointed because they were all previously seen television clips. But they're treats and rarities for us US fans. Matt and David never disappoint when they appear on talk shows and such, so that's guaranteed laughs for you too! All in all, if you're a fan and you're considering getting this for yourself or a friend... I'd say "Computer says yes." :)

(More customer reviews)Fans of Little Britain appreciate any chance to revisit the world of wacky characters created by this amazing comic team. While I must say that this two-part Christmas special may not quite be as fresh and funny as the original series, much like the Ab Fab Christmas specials, there are always a few astoundingly good laughs and the comfort of the familiar.
What's more, there's the star studded Comic Relief version of Little Britain Live. Yes, many of them are stars that aren't quite huge in the U.S. but it's fun to see them try to hold their own with the immensely talented Lucas and Walliams.
