(More customer reviews)This DVD features great comedians and some very funny moments, but it really suffers from too many performers and not enough time for each. Each comic comes on stage, tells 2 or 3 jokes and then introduces the next comic. It's an interesting concept, and I applaud Patton and the guys for trying something new and different, but unfortunately it doesn't translate to DVD very well, IMO. The DVD plays like 2 hours of emceeing with no main act. I would rather have a 2 or 3 or 4 disc set that has more of each performance or (even better) just pick the best 4 or 5 comedians and give them each a 20 or 30 minute set. Also, I know that it says there are 15 comedians on the back, but I kinda think that having 4 popular comedians on the cover is a little misleading. It gives the impression that you actually get to see more than a couple of minutes of them performing! The new comics were great, I'm glad they're on the DVD, but I'd like to see more of them too! Interesting concept, funny stuff, I just hope they come up with a better presentation next time.

Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007) Review

(More customer reviews)This film teaches important lessons to children in a gentle and very entertaining way. Lesson One: Discipline is important to children. Lesson Two: Anything in excess, even fun, can ruin your life. Lesson Three: The entertainment industry, although glamorous, can be harmful. Stable family life is more important. And dads are important role models for young sons. Alvin and his companions Simon and Theodore learn these lessons from their surrogate father Dave and from the hard knocks they endure as they leave Dave and rise to recording stardom. Seldom have I seen such an entertaining film spell out such excellent values for young children. In terms of pure fun, the chipmunks are believable and so precious they can make you cry. Jason Lee is outstanding as the caring "dad", Dave. The music is wonderful: great remixes of "Witch Doctor" and the Chipmunks Christmas song. Don't listen to the critics on this one. It is amazing. See this with your little ones and talk to them about the lessons the chipmunks learn. Oh, and by the way, the movie makes everyone feel like a kid again! The munks version of Funkytown will make you want to get up and dance whether you're 9 or 90. Highly recommended.

Jamie Kennedy's Blowin Up (2006) Review

(More customer reviews)A scripted reality show which is a little too notciable at times but is actually worth the watch. Being a fan of the music Jamie Kennedy does I enjoyed when they would take a break from the show and just drive around listening to their music in the hummer. The show itself has plenty of celebrity cameos (ice t, jason biggs, bob sagget) none of which ever is less than hilarious.
Also the chemistry between Stu and Jamie is wonderful, altho Stu's constant bitterness torwards the fact that Jamie isn't focusing on just rapping but also on acting that pays for both of their lives does get quite annoying by episode 3. Stu just begins to come off as ungratefull for everything Jamie's money has got them cause in the show Stu is the jobless friend that lets Jamie pay for everything.
The extras are great and the only thing that's dissapointing about the release is that the show only lasted 7 episodes. Worth the time to check it out tho, bought it on amazon used and the price was well worth the laughs.
