Mark & Mark are hilarious and entertaining! This DVD along with their other DVD's and Weird US books are informative and awesome. You learn a lot about those secret hidden places and strange and unusual things. Its a combination of Twilight Zone, Ripley's Believe it Or Not,and X-files all rolled up into great show. I had a lot of fun discovering many of the weird things they have discussed in their weird Texas book recently! I hope they keep making more DVDs.

From a local "zine" in New Jersey to a national probing of the bizarre, the unexplained, and the really strange, two friends named Mark host the oddest travel show this side of freaky. Presented by THE HISTORY CHANNEL(r), WEIRD U.S.: VOLUME 1 takes an unforgettable side trip into the weirdest nooks and crannies of American history. Hilarious, wacky, and sometimes plain disturbing, WEIRD U.S. explores stories about mysterious wallets made out of human skin to retirement communities for sideshow performers to graveyard getaways near the swamplands of New Orleans. From sea to shining sea, starring a cast of characters between ghostly and surreal, this is adventure too weird for words. Based on the best-selling book, WEIRD U.S.: VOLUME 1 features the pilot episode "Strange But True" and the premiere episode "Road To Weirdsville."
