Big mistake.The acting is so bad, it reminds me of those cheesy after school specials where it seems like they just pulled people off the streets and said "here's the script, do the best you can". I have several of Mary Higgins Clark's DVDs. It is pretty much hit and miss as to whether or not the acting will be good or not. You're better off renting them.

The day after County Prosecutor Katie De Maio (Angie Everhart ) undergoes medical tests at Westlake Hospital with renowned gynecologist Dr. Edgar Highley, she's called on to investigate the suicide of a pregnant woman. When the suicide begins to look like murder, the suspects lead her right back to Westlake Hospital! But when the suspects themselves become victims, Katie fears a serial killer is on the loose. Justine Bateman, who was so good and so cute as Mallory Keaton in "Family Ties" made a bad choice when she agreed to star in this bomb. It is badly written, amateurishly directed, choppy and disconnected. It goes from slow all the way to boring! The plot is thin, the dialogue worse.
Andrew McCarthy has almost a bit part in this waste of film, as Bateman's husband. Actually, he provides the best single scene in the whole sloppy thing, when Bateman dreams that her husband (McCarthy) is trying to kill her. He is fully menacing and intense, and this is the only good scene to be found anywhere in this nonsense.
The beginning is not so good, the ending is predictable and, well - boring!
I repeat: Save your money.
