If Yenko and Shelby, Hemi and Six Pack aren't just words for you, if you know that barracuda and sting ray not necessary must be fishes, if the sight of '61 New Yorker cruising down the shady alley simply takes your breath away - this DVD set is for you.
For here you will see some of the rarest, meanest muscle cars of the 60s and the early 70s, beautiful, beautiful boulevard cruisers of the fifties and even some fabulous pre-war cars, all in top-notch condition. The proud owners will tell you interesting stories about their beauties, and Mr. Dennis Gage did the job well asking them good questions every time.
The cameraman (or men?) did the job well too picking the most stunning angles and showing the unique features of every car. The stereo sound is five-star, and the quality of picture (video) is between very good and excellent.
But this DVD set doesn't offer just nice footage of legendary cars; it gives you the rare opportunity to see every car in action, and some of them even in very hot action. It allows you to hear the deep breathing of mighty engines and see gorgeous sceneries by the way. That's when it's time to buckle up!
And if this still is not enough for you, every disc has fantastic extra features like interviews with such legends as Carroll Shelby or David Holls, interesting video essays on famous designers and engineers, the biggest car shows reports, etc., etc. The endless source of video information! In fact, you can watch this wonderful DVD set as a video book that has discs instead of chapters!
In other words, this set could be the excellent choice for any muscle car or classic car lover. Just buy it and you won't be disappointed. That's for sure!

This could be the dream-come-true DVD set for any muscle car lover. It was obviously conceived as a video book on the meanest, most desirable muscle cars of the sixties. There are a lot of them in the Season 1, and, as I can see, there will be plenty of them in the Season 2. Both discs are literally packed with interesting facts and figures. Some of them are well known and some of them are not, at least, for me. There are fantastic stories from owners of the cars and such musclecar gurus as Jim Wangers, Paul Zazarine, and others in abundance. What is more important, the set is pretty well compiled. The text is smooth and well written. In fact, it could be good enough for chapters of the exciting book! And the video is even more impressive. The discs are full of stunning footage of beautiful cars, priceless vintage video, and so on, and so on. In other words, if you are looking for real muscle cars in real action, you won't be disappointed, too. The quality of the video is top-notch. Personally I especially liked the footage of the cars from the Floyd Garrett's Musclecar Museum. It is awesome! The sound is just excellent, and the price is more than reasonable. Could you imagine something like this when you were attending the college back then, in the sixties? As for me, I'm anxious to buy the Season 2, and the Season 3, if it is only available for sale. Please!!!

Buick Regal GNX: GRAND NATIONAL -- Buick just won't quit. After their quiet but devastating assault on the muscle car wars during the late sixties with cars like the Stage 1 Gran Sport, they quietly re-entered the super car wars in the late eighties with a turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 engine in an all-black Regal. The little turbo V-6 was such a screamer, and the car itself was so outrageous, that they're now among the most collectible cars of all time. '55-'57 Chevrolet Bel Air: CLASSIC MUSCLE – Many people say this is where the muscle car era began. The '55 Chevy was Chevrolet's opening into the world of auto performance, with all-new styling and the single most important development in the history of American performance... the 265 cubic inch small block V-8. '55-'57 Chevys changed the landscape of American automotive performance, and today they're still the most popular collector car in the world.

The COPO Cars: SUPERCAR -- Chevrolet already made the fastest cars on the street, but thanks to their racing efforts, they had a full catalog of banzai parts that would make their cars go even faster. If you knew the right numbers, and could get to the right salespeople at the right dealerships, you could order a street-legal racecar direct from the factory. They were called COPOs, for Central Office Production Order. One more reason to love the sixties!‘68-present Corvette: THE MAKO SHARK AND BEYOND -- 47 years old and still going strong!America’s first sportscar is still getting better, through five more generations, and a few "ultra" cars, like the C-5 and the Z/06 Corvette.

If you like Dodge Chargers, you'll love this DVD. Watch restored Chargers in action on the street. Narration was also informative, describing the differences between the model years. I'm not much of a Viper fan, so I haven't watched that part of the DVD.

Dodge Charger 66-70: NO PONY CARS HERE, THANK YOU -- After the introduction of the Mustang in 1964, everyone in Detroit was going full-tilt to make their own youth-market "Pony Car"... everyone except Dodge, that is.Instead, they chose to make an upmarket, full-size rocket called the Charger, with fastback styling and power to burn. The car was an immediate hit on the street and the race track, and today, Chargers are some of the most beloved musclecars ever made. Dodge Viper: THE "OTHER" SNAKE -- Currently the cream of the crop of Detroit’s supercars, the Dodge Viper has earned fame and respect as a world-class sports racing car. These street-legal racecars combine luxury and performance, and are proof that the best of the musclecar years are still ahead of us.

Chrysler 300: INTRODUCING THE HEMI -- Out of the boring parade of postwar American sedans came a car with style, and an engine with almost unlimited power.Chrysler 300s were expensive, but throughout the early fifties they were the fastest things on the road and the early NASCAR tracks.
